"I came to this restaurant with my sister. We were greeted by a man, and he sat us down quickly. The ambience of the restaurant was quite relaxing, it has abit of a dim atmosphere to it. Most of the music they put was Greek, which is perfect for the restaurant since it is Greek. The waiter waitress there were quick, efficient and nice. They will make sure you are satisfied being there. You may also come across the owner of the restaurant, greeting everyone and asking you about"

"my man and I visited this diner on Friday morning and we both had our masks up and decided to sit on the back at one of the stands. there were these dame who worked the casser and every time she would pass our table, she would cough loudly. first I thought wow, she should wear a mask if she doesn't feel good, but after the third time, my man and I observed that she did it only every time she went past the table. Finally, the previous time (yes it was a forward) she did the fake cough thing and admired her coworkers); that strengthened what we suspected was doing it before. I thought that would not be nice to treat customers who wear their masks in an NJ restaurant. the bad news is, we will never return this dune thanks to it; the good news is raymond is just a few steps away and is much more inviting with better manage and customer service."

"Unfortunately, our group of 10 arrived at this restaurant on New Year's Eve for our 7 pm confirmed reservation made thru OpenTable, and we were turned away since the restaurant was closed for a private party. We then had to scramble to find an alternate restaurant on New Year's Eve. We had 4 children and a grandmother with us. Fortunately, another area restaurant accommodated us so our evening was saved. We WILL NOT be returning to this restaurant. Both the restaurant and Open Table had my contact info but neither contacted me to indicate that our reservation could not be honored. Poor customer experience!"

"Long story short: it's just okay. I have a super soft spot for Greek food, so when I saw there was a place nearby I was so excited to try it. Walked in and the hostess was so nice, sat us immediately since it wasn't busy on a Sunday at 2. Server wasn't very present, I never got her name and she was pretty short with me, I chalked it up to maybe she's just having a not-so-great day. After the food was dropped she didn't come back until it was time for the bill. Ordered a side Greek salad, calamari, sliders, gyro platter and lemonade. It was fine? I guess? It didn't taste bad by any means, it just left a lot to be desired. For $76 the experience was not worth it and not something I'd go out of my way to have again. "I recently dined at this establishment and was pleasantly surprised by the flavor of the food, which was quite enjoyable. The service was also commendable—attentive and friendly. The seating was comfortable, allowing for a relaxed atmosphere, and the environment was clean and well-maintained. However, there were some notable drawbacks. The prices for the appetizers were on par with the entrees, which felt a bit off. Desserts were similarly overpriced. Additionally, while the flatware and china suggested a more upscale dining experience, the presentation of the food and the ordering process resembled that of fast food, which was somewhat confusing. Fast food typically comes at a lower price point, and a sit-down restaurant should offer a more polished presentation and ambiance. Overall, I had a good experience, but considering the prices, I have enjoyed much better dining experiences elsewhere."

"I went in for a pick up order was greeted helped by a sweet young woman named Madison. An older woman maybe the owner) came out and looked at me like she saw a ghost as if I weren?t supposed to be in this establishment. I ignored that as she asked was I picking up , I told her yes explained Madison already helped me.. the woman didn?t say anything after that and scurried out the restaurant. I patiently waited for my food. Once I received it I said thank you to the owner as she walked back in she balantly ignored me. Once I got outside to my parked car I was being ?pulled over? by a police man. I learned the same woman was just coming in from talking to this racist officer so he began to harass me in a parked car. If you are black I wouldn?t recommend eating from this restaurant as you may be a threat to this establishment and have police waiting for you outside. I will never come back here and have already started to spread the word. only gave one star so that I could write the review. If you aren?t black still want to support . The food was decent tasted fresh. Aside from the dry lamb)"

"The restaurant decor evoked an upscale feel, and was tasteful and eclectic. There was turkish music lightly playing creating a lovely mood. Great restaurant for date night! Went there this evening around 6:45 and it was very quiet. My boyfriend and I don't care for crowded, loud places, so this was perfect and intimate. We both ordered the chicken shish kebab, which comes with rice pilaf, potato wedges (I opted for no potato and he opted for french fries instead), broccoli, and tzatsiki sauce. The presentation of the food was beautiful and the taste was divine. The chicken was tender and well seasoned, the rice was fluffy and the broccoli was perfectly cooked. After dinner, we were offered Turkish tea which was perfect on the palate and a wonderful way to end the meal. Both the gentleman who directed us to our table and served us, as well as the woman who asked about our meal, were positively delightful. We will definitely be returning. What a great way to start the week!"

"Great drinks and food. I stopped by here for some drinks and bar food. we got moscow mule and mexican firing squad. I wasnt a fan of the smoky aftertaste of the mexican firing squad (drink) but besides that it was good and the moscow mule was delicious. we also got an order of fries which was fire. I wish happy hour was on weekends because the drinks are a little pricey. To be honest we only came here because we were waiting for taverna kyclades but we ended up loving it! might come back for bottomless brunch"

"We were pleasantly surprised by the food and the ambience. We live in the neighborhood and wonder why it took us so long to enjoy a great meal there. It's relaxed, it's delicious and above all our waiter, a really nice young man, was outstanding. It's a great place where you can't choose how you want to eat because there's a little bit of it and a little bit of it with Italian flair"

"Chill but vibey cocktail bar. Not going for chill and vibey but just already there. The bartender, Sebastian, was very funny and engaging, and a manager was both very attentive to guests and (I happened to see when one of his back of house employees was leaving) very thankful for his staff. This place is cool!"

"I have been to Shishka several times. It is a great casual and local dining spot. This is a Lebanese restaurant so in addition to their authentic Lebanese food, there are many other Middle Eastern options available on the menu. The restaurant is quite small and sits in a very hard to find place in what is now a defunct mall on Copans Federal Hwy. However, if you find it once, I'm sure you'll go there time and time again."

"When we arrived, the restaurant acted surprised that we had a reservation and said they usually didn't take reservations for 2 on NY Eve. Very odd because I obviously made a res online. They sat us at the bar saying they were waiting for a party to leave although there were a few open tables that would have accommodated us. The owner(? stopped by once we were seated and made a strange comment about the reservation. I eat here about twice a month and it seems like this place has changed staff and not for the best. Food remained good."

"This restaurant has the most delicious ,authentic middle Eastern food I have experienced in many years. The chef and her husband bend over backwards to please. Be patient with your take out order as it is worth waiting for! The store portion has foods from many countries that you cannot find anywhere else. I do not have to go to any other stores as everthing that I need for my cooking is in the grocery store. I also love the drinks especially , the Lebanese juices. Let’s support our family owned business such as this wonderful gem. Kathleen Abbott"

"A hidden gem in Commack! The food is fantastic, and the staff and owners are exceptional. It's perfect for appetizers, seafood, and gyro plates. The location is conveniently visible from Jericho Turnpike in Commack, making it easily accessible from surrounding areas in Suffolk County. There are plenty of parking spaces, and the entrance is wheelchair accessible. The facilities are clean, and they offer public restrooms. Prices are reasonable for the quality provided. Don't miss out on the desserts—they're a must-try! This new location is excellent, and I highly recommend it!"

"This was my first visit, and I’m already drooling! My husband ordered the beef shawarma plate, while I decided to take a risk and try the chicken alfredo, which I found quite intriguing for a Mediterranean restaurant. I was pleasantly surprised by how delicious the alfredo was! The portion was generous, so I had plenty of leftovers to take home. My husband enjoyed his beef so much that he completely forgot about the rice and only managed to eat half of it. The pita bread was warm and soft, and we kicked things off with some delightful Greek salads. I can’t wait to come back with friends! Oh, and our server was fantastic—she was incredibly quick, friendly, and attentive to everyone, including takeout and phone orders. This place is great!"

"We went based on many recommendations as a great Seattle brunch destination. As brunch connoisseurs, I don't feel as our experience justified the high rating. I thought the service was friendly, but mediocre. The waitstaff didn't notice we were out of drinks and water, and didn't stop by the check in for a majority of the visit. When they did check in, they only inquired about one member of the party's beverage, even though we all had empty glasses. The two gentlemen on staff didn't acknowledge us for a long time when we first arrived. I noticed there were other groups that also weren't acknowledged. It's possible they are used to a host(ess) and didn't quite understand how to step up to the plate during their absence."

"Love this spot, I’ve been here several times and keep coming back because it has great food, nice staff, and a pretty outdoor area. Get the phyllo rolls with feta cheese (comes with a jam that adds sweetness and enhances that sharp tang of feta), the dolmas are some of my favorite, and you can’t go wrong with the trio of dips (although I wish they served pita instead of bread for them). I’ve also never made a reservation, but have gotten lucky and have always gotten a table."

"Very nice authentic Mediterranean place in the town! Their hummus (is without garlic) and baba ganoush is delicious. We had falafal sandwich, super falafel wrap and veggie bowl with falafel and they all were equally good. Note- their quantity is huge. They have pretty delicious sauces as well (tahini and tzatziki). The person on desk was pretty friendly and they also accommodated dietary restrictions (no onion garlic) by making a nice wrap. I like the places which are easy to deal with. Just one suggestion- if the falafel could be little more fluffy and airy than dense, it will be perfect. All in all, want a change in taste, and bored with other cuisines, I highly recommend this place."
