"Having an apartment in this neighborhood my husband walked past this place every day so we decided to have dinner here even though I had come by here a few weeks ago asking if they had Sopas and besides telling me she didn 't really speak English the answer was just No!the menu was extremely limited and really has Nothing for Vegan 's or vegetarian 's. I believe there is one item a burrito with spicy vegetables. It 's a Mexican restaurant yet has No Mexican cheese for their items on their menu. Also No Mexican Coca-Cola in the bottle. They have Corona Beer but unfortunately there 's No price on the menu for Corona so we didn 't know the price until we got the bill. $12 for 2. My husband ordered a steak burrito I ordered a quesadilla they have No black beans so I had to get pinto beans they have No Vegetarian rice so I got guacamole and whatever cheese they use I believe cheddar. They have No Lime for the beer and the girl said the owner said limes are too expensive so they only gave me lemon for my beer. We were the only ones in the restaurant, and I certainly can understand why no one comes here. Our food arrives she sets it down walks away and what do you think after her and I have been talking about Vegetarian-Vegan-Food what do we have but Chicken in my quesadilla! Her answer and excuse was oh well I wrote just cheese quesadilla but the kitchen didn 't see it. We are the only people in the restaurant there were No other orders. As some favor she says oh you can keep it I 'll go and make you another dish. Ummm... clearly she wasn 't listening to what I was saying because why would I keep a chicken quesadilla being a vegetarian?? I gave her the whole plate back and told her I wanted a check. My husband got his burrito to go, we drank our two beers and the bill was $32. My husband also gave her a five dollar tip I 'm not sure for what her bad attitude or all the mistakes?? They are a joke! Zero stars for the service! zero stars for the food! one star for the atmosphere"

"Everything I ate was just tasteless . I asked my dining companions for their opinions to assist in my rating of this place because I personally don 't think it was quite as bad as a 2 but everyone else had a pretty strong opinion and it was not good. We ordered from this place for dinner because my companions wanted Mexican and I wanted to try something new. I appreciate the vegetarian menu section and three of us ordered the vegetable fajitas. One of us ordered a grilled chicken burrito. For some extra oomph, we ordered some apps: guac, tostones, and fries. I noticed that the description for the veggie fajitas did not include rice or beans but what remotely legitimate Mexican place serves fajitas, or anything no less, without rice and beans? I figured this was a given and hoped for the best. One of us actually wanted a bean burrito without cheese but there is no option to make any requests when ordering online through DoorDash. The food came within a reasonable amount of time. I was literally ravenous when it came and tore open the container that housed the guacamole. It seemed pretty standard to me at that time but one of my companions, who is such a **** for avocado she literally eats one like an apple every day and I 'm not exaggerating, didn 't like it and thought it was tasteless . This is probably the first time in my life I 've witnessed this person NOT wolf anything avocado down. The tostones were very good, no complaints there. The fries were also enjoyable but soggy and underdone. The person who ordered the grilled chicken burrito says it was just ok, it wasn 't nearly as good as the other place we order from, it didn 't have any beans with it! and the chicken was a little sparse. The veggie fajitas. Oh lord, where do I begin? Firstly, the veggies are green peppers, sliced onions, and some zucchini with no seasoning that I could detect whatsoever. They also included three puny, tiny tortillas which is not enough. Also included was some lettuce, salsa, guac, and sour cream but literally no rice, beans, or cheese. Another dining companion points out that what was provided did not warrant the prices.Another companion just added, maybe the chef was out sick lmao. The meal was very disappointing."

"Tuesday evening meal. Restaurant was packed and nearly at max capacity, yet service was quick and food came out hot without issue. The complimentary chips and salsa are good. Requested hot salsa and received two different “hot” salsas. Neither were very hot, but both options were flavorful and unique in their own way. Tables had a two versions of a quality readily available hot sauce (Yucateco) that’ll bring some heat if desired. For entrees we ordered the carne encebollada, taco salad, burrito casa grande (shredded chicken), and street tacos (one steak, one shrimp, and one fish). The carne encebollada was extremely flavorful, a really great dish. Highly recommend. First and foremost, the restaurant heard us when we expressed the following The taco salad was not our thing, zero seasoning in the hamburger making it a very bland dish. The components were very fresh and the portion size was great for the price. Taco salad components needed drained a lot more, the amount of fluids soaked the shell making it undesirable. Early on in our meal the waiter asked if everything was to our liking, my wife said they could take her barely touched taco salad; explaining why it wasn’t her thing. They said they’d bring something else, she declined (I was sharing my carne encebollada, there was plenty for us both). Another employee visited us to see if they could rectify the issue, declined again. Shortly thereafter we were brought tres leches cake, on the house. Afterwards we realized unseasoned taco salad might be a local thing, second or third restaurant we’ve experienced this in the area recently. Burrito casa grande Huge amount of food for a very low price (about 10.50). My granddaughter cleaned her plate, thoroughly enjoyed the meal. Street tacos flavorful food at a great price. Huge fan of the extra toppings on the side as it lets the consumer tweak each to their own taste. I’ve seen it served in this manner at much higher price points, never at this bargain price. Refried beans and rice comes with, or can be added to, every entree. Both of these items are worth getting every time, Casa Grande adds stuff to each making them both very desirable. Tres Leches cake one of the best we’ve ever had. Only other tres leches we’ve had in our travels throughout the U.S. that was close to this good was in Texas. All employees were awesome and very friendly, so much so that we added the cost of the entree and dessert to our tip to make sure they knew their professionalism and service were truly appreciated."
