"First off, the service was excellent—make sure to ask for Nic. He was not only polite but also attentive, always checking in to clear our empty plates and refill our drinks. Nic is a young guy who clearly takes pride in his work. When he wasn’t attending to our table, I noticed him helping out in other areas and staying busy. Kudos to you, Nic! Don’t change a thing. Now, onto the food—oh my goodness! I had been craving Chicken Fried Steak, and it did not disappoint. The portion size was just right, and the mashed potatoes were delicious! I prefer my food not to be drowning in gravy, so I asked for it on the side, and it was perfect. My partner ordered the Open Faced Roast Beef Sandwich, and let me tell you, after just a small bite, I was blown away by how incredible it tasted. I even got to chat with one of the owners, who was very friendly and appreciated my compliments about Nic and this charming little spot. I almost hesitated to write this review because I wanted to keep it a secret for myself, but as we were leaving, I saw a room full of patrons waiting to be seated. It seems this little gem isn’t as much of a secret as I thought; I just hadn't heard about it before! One important note: the employees wash their hands constantly. The kitchen and service areas are open (which I appreciate), and there’s a small sink nearby. I’ve never seen a restaurant staff maintain such cleanliness while working, so keep up the great work! Thanks to Google, I discovered this place while searching for Chicken Fried Steak, and I can’t wait to come back for breakfast. Stay tuned for my next review!"

"Due to the poor quality of the food and the laughably bizarre experience I need to share mine and my friends experience at the cotton patch. I have eaten at the restaurant before and absolutely enjoyed my previous experience, but after the last I will more than likely never return. Our server was nice and polite so no complaints in that department. The issue comes in the food and management areas. We were a party of 3, I ordered a burger medium rare, my friends ordered a 6 oz steak well done and a chicken fried steak. When we received our food my friend's steak she had ordered was very rare, she sent it back due to not liking rare steak. My burger was cooked to a charcoal briquette which is absolutely not how I like my food prepared. I did not send my food back due to the simple fact that it is now taboo and frowned upon to cause any slight amount of trouble for food employees, now we didn't make a scene and we were polite the entire time, laughing and attempting to have a nice evening. The largest issue comes from my 3rd friend's meal, the chicken fried streak, after attempting to eat it, he discovered that the cook had not taken the paper off the steak before frying it! I know it is hard to believe that is why I have a picture of it attached to this review. We still at this point were very polite and kind, we spoke to who I assume to be the manager, as she was the first one we could speak to, she took the plate and had another one made for him. At this point we were still not upset, we finished our meal and were getting ready to pay for it, the manager had decided due to our poor experience they would give us free dessert. So together paid over fifty dollars for three meals and two appetizers, we also still tipped, nothing was comped or discounted, and that was the end, when we left, we were going to split up the free dessert they had given so generously, only to find a single slice of carrot cake. I mean when I say if I could give it zero stars I would, but I guess I'll be generous as well and give them one single star."
