"Just tried this place for the first time today. We were in the area looking for something quick to eat and saw it had a 4.8. The place was closing and they let us take our time looking at the menu and took some chairs down for us to sit and eat and told us not to rush even though they had closed. The Chef even noticed from behind the counter that my husband was cutting up his olives and brought over a container of olives which my husband loves! Very friendly staff. Took the time to check on us and talk to us and did not make us feel rushed to leave like most places do when they are about to close. Best part was that the food was amazing! We love nachos and try them from everywhere. They had a nice twist to the nachos and they were delicious! Will definitely be back soon! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5"

"The gyro is below average at best. The meat was cold and onions too large with not enough tzatziki sauce. The dogs were also cold and cheaply loaded with subpar food toping's, fries same way. The health department really needs to visit, food on the floor that had mold on it, bathroom very dirty, carpet nasty dirty, table tops dirty, windows not clean, trim to the bathroom stacked with dirt, behind counter was very dirty. Website also not correct for store. They get one star because the help was nice. I recommend any where else for gyros and dogs. I would show photos but way to nasty. Are group will try to make it back in two months and hope they grow to a better star."

"I absolutely love this restaurant! The downtown location is closed on Sundays, but the one near Goshen and St. Mary's is open. They have the BEST mozzarella sticks! The pizza puffs are fantastic as well; I believe it’s the only place that sells them. The gyros, especially with BBQ sauce and onions, are packed to the brim—definitely use a plate! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this place!"

"Chicago Gyro is one of my favorite places in the Clifton area. They never disappoint me and always have great things to say about it! Yesterday I decided to pop by and grab dinner. It was extremely subpar. Got the chicken back ranch pita and had 90% of it being chicken with little to no toppings plus the fries were extremely undercooked. And of course I felt horrible to complain but their customer service was amazing. Whoever I talked to on the phone gave me a food credit for today’s meal and it was perfect! No clue why that happened yesterday but maybe it was because it was an hour before closing. Almost lost me as a customer but I can’t stay unhappy for long with their staff!"

"I brought a hot dog and a cheesesteak. Hot dog dog had a nice crunch was a little salty and a small Hot dog, but It was overall like a 4 out of 5. But the the cheesesteak was like a 1 out of 5 very chewy and salty wouldn't recommend the cheesesteak.Food: 3/5"

"Not a good experience!! (1st negative review I've ever posted I don't do this lightly. I just wanted a decent Burger Fries what I received was virtually inedible. Ordered a basic cheeseburger fries (about $10 . The burger patty cheese was cold the bun was quite stale stone cold. (It's like the burger was cooked maybe 30 minutes prior, and then served. Also, very sparse condiments (a tiny bit of mayo, mustard , so very dry. I tried 3 bites, and just gave up. When I returned the burger to the counter (which I've never, never done before , there was no offer to even heat up the existing stone-cold burger. I also later contacted the restaurant on-line about the experience, but no reply after 3-days. Bottom line: Not a good place. Even McDonalds is way better! If you try the Hot Dog Company, hope you have a better experience. All the best!"

"My boss is a big fan of this restaurant, and we frequent it because of its short walk from our office and the welcoming service. The highlight of our visits is the delicious Chicago-style hot dogs with a modern twist. I particularly enjoy their char-grilled dogs; they're perfect! I'm also a fan of Impossible burgers, which they offer here. The creative menu includes the fantastic Gyros Dog, which I highly recommend. The fries are fresh and come in generous portions. The staff is incredibly friendly, making it a wonderful place to dine. Nestled in a cozy corner of Niles, this gem is definitely worth the stroll or drive!"

"Did this place change hands? Very disappointed in my visit today. I would like to first off say I have the upmost respect for the Dykstra’s. Was kind of in a hurry today so I called ahead to order to dine in. My order was placed, question/answered, repeated back to me and confirmed. We walk in and told to sit anywhere we like. We sat down at what appeared to be a clean table. It was covered with a sticky residue. I cleaned it. As mentioned my order was given, repeated and confirmed. And it was still not right. It was simple. No onions. As the waitress told the cook, the cook replied “well just give it back to me and I’ll take the onions off”. Loud enough I could hear it. I replied louder I would just remove them myself. The onions are not the reason for this review. The reason is I have an inordinate amount of respect for this place and have eaten from there literally 100’s of times. It is about response and the tone used as if I was in the wrong for mentioning myOrder had onions on it. The quality of food is and always has been unsurpassed. And the service until today was none other than top notch classy caring service. Thus my reason for disappointment"
