"The fries arrived first, served in a large paper bag, with cheese powder on the side for a small extra charge of $1. There was a generous portion of fries—definitely a great deal! The paper bag made it easy to shake them up. They were cooked perfectly and I appreciated the thin cut. Next, the cheese balls came out. They had a crispy exterior, similar to Korean corn dogs but with less batter, while the inside was gooey and reminiscent of mochi—absolutely delicious! Finally, the chicken was served, and everything came out remarkably quickly, within about 10 minutes. The chicken was beautifully golden brown and cooked to perfection. I loved how the skin was crispy without being overly heavy, and the meat was juicy and tender. We usually prefer boneless, but since that wasn’t an option in this flavor, we opted for drumsticks instead. The chicken was fantastic when dipped in the pickled jalapeño sauce; I wished there was more of it! Overall, the cooking on the chicken was impressive, but it did lean towards a milder flavor, so pairing it with the sauce or adding some zesty sides like kimchi is definitely recommended. The restaurant is small but has several booths for seating. They also offer some delicious drink options like flavored Korean milks, and I even noticed a poster for kimchi beer. Overall, Ttobongee is a solid choice for fast-casual Korean food. I look forward to trying more flavors to compare with other Korean fried chicken spots, and I’m glad to see this option available in Folsom!"

"**Fries:** They arrived still crunchy, but frankly, they tasted like any regular fries—nothing special. **Ddhuk So Ddhuk:** I tried the garlic soy and spicy versions. The combination of rice cake and sausage was enjoyable, and I appreciated that the dish wasn't overly sweet. It’s refreshing to see a place that doesn’t Americanize its food; the flavors were well-balanced. **Supreme Chicken:** Unfortunately, this wasn’t crunchy at all—which is usually what I expect from Korean fried chicken. It might have suffered during delivery, but I would have liked some crunch. The flavor was good, though, and I was glad it wasn’t too sweet. **Fried Gizzard:** This dish lacked flavor; the batter could definitely use some improvement. Once again, there wasn't enough crunch. I expected the batter to have a nice crunch that would complement the chewiness of the gizzard. **Soy Garlic Half and Half:** Some pieces of chicken were dry, and I expected them to be juicier. However, they were packed with flavor, although it leaned a bit on the sweeter side for my taste. **Hot Spicy Half and Half:** This was definitely the standout! I loved that it had a spicy kick, and the flavor was well-balanced. The radish that came with it was surprisingly tasty—definitely the best I’ve had, and I usually don’t like radish. It had a nice hint of tartness that paired perfectly with the spicy chicken. **Chicken Feet:** I was thrilled to see these on the menu, and they did not disappoint! They were delicious, with a savory flavor and a nice kick. Overall, I would say this is one of the best places for Korean chicken in the area, and I would recommend it for those looking for authentic flavors. My only critique is that I expected the chicken to have more of a crunchy texture; the batter really needs some work."

"I'll be honest, if my parents didn't tell me about this place, I would have kept overlooking it. But I'm so glad I know about this place now because it is a great find. This place is open from 11:30am 3pm and 5pm 10pm (11pm on Fridays and Saturdays). Be mindful of that time gap when they're closed because I made that mistake once which was completely my fault. My family and I came right when they opened up for the second half of the day. The interior is nice and cozy with soft ambient lighting, which I am a huge fan of. There is a variety of seating options, with table and booth seating on the either side of the building and a bar like seating with high chairs in the middle of the building. We got a variety of dishes because we wanted to try a little bit of everything. Overall, everything tasted great!Teriyaki Chicken Bowl A nice classic dish with a good ratio of chicken and rice, served with vegetables and pineapple on the side. I love this twist to teriyaki chicken because it balances sweet and savory well, plus the texture of the rice is nice.Spicy Noodle Soup A hearty soup served with noodles, an assortment of seafood, and an assortment of vegetables. The noodles are cooked al dente, and they seem freshly made based on the texture. It's a very good soup, however my spice tolerance isn't great so I struggled to eat it and had to dilute the leftover soup when I got home. However, if your spice tolerance is good, by all means go for this dish!Shrimp Fried Rice Bowl This dish was HEAVENLY my favorite one out of the selection of dishes we ordered. It comes out in a pan, served with an egg and two hash browns on top. The fried rice has a slightly sweet taste that pairs well with the umami of the shrimp. I am absolutely OBSESSED with the crispiness of the hash browns that I could go on about it. A dish I'd definitely recommend getting.Kimchi Fried Rice (not pictured because we got it to go) A great mix of savory, tangy, and spicy. The rice is cooked just right, and seaweed is sprinkled on top as garnish. It also comes with a side of pickled yellow radish and pickled onions and jalapeños which complements the fried rice well. Not only were the dishes great, but service was great as well. Our server was swift whenever we needed extra utensils, more water, etc. Overall I'm very satisfied with my experience here! Totally coming back for that shrimp fried rice and other menu items."

"Such a delicious Korean fried chicken place. The sweet lady at the front of house was so attentive and took care of us well right at the start. She noticed that we kept our coats on so she asked if we were cold and she turned on the heater. That's already 10/10 service. Food ordered the gimmari (deep fried glass noodles that's wrapped with seafood) that comes with five pieces and the whole chicken with 2 flavors (regular and soy garlic). The gimmari has a great crunch and the batter also was savory (got garlic powder vibes). This was the type of appetizer that gets you excited for the main part of the meal. For the chicken, it came to us piping hot and quite succulent as well. The regular option is also my litmus test as to whether the chicken is solid and this place did so well. I also enjoyed the seaweed seasoning that was sprinkled on top of the regular top. The soy and garlic one rocked my world since it was such a great balance of sweet and savory. Things are going to get messy so make use of the small container that they give to toss away the bones. Side dish (free) pickled radish was necessary and refreshing to cut the fat. It is on the sweeter end, but it ultimately did it's job. Drink used the check in and got a free Sprite. I actually thought the fizziness of the soda helped cut the fattiness that's natural to fried chicken. If you're okay with drinking soda, you should go ahead and utilize the check in! Wait time no more than 10 minutes for the appetizer and then an additional 10 minutes for the chicken. Parking $3 dollar CASH valet or try to find street parking around the area (which is difficult) This place is looking like my favorite Korean fried chicken place in Koreatown so far. Highly recommend checking it out!"
