Place reeked of cat urine, took way too long to get 2 rolls of sushi with how few people there were in there, once I got the sushi it was deep fried not to a crisp.. but to a rock. It was literally so hard I have to carve out the innards of the sushi just to eat it. "This was our 3rd visit. We have tried Tom Yum soup...very good. Sushi, shashimi, kung pao chicken. Fish was fresh and the Kung Pao was not overy sweet as it can be sometimes. We prefer it not sweet, and actually could have been a little less, but the best we've had around here. No complaints about any of the food. We are going back today. No lunch specials on Sunday, but that's ok. I am getting Tom Yum soup again. The restaurant seemed very clean, which we also appreciate. Keep it up. We are fans!"

"Wow! This place has such an outstanding vibe. The servers are extremely personable and the food is spot on perfect. The music is even chill. We were actually recommended this spot by a couple we met in passing. And we were absolutely blown away by the service we received. Angela is so hospital and it is impossible to resist the smile she will bring to your face. 10 out of 10. "My fiancé and I have been coming here since we moved into the area 2 years ago. I’m not sure if the unfriendly woman with the bob is a manager or owner but she isn’t welcoming, friendly and all around just unpleasant. The food is usually the redeeming factor that keeps us coming back but not after my service on Friday night. I placed a pick up order and was told it would be ready in 35 minutes however I waited an ADDITIONAL 45 minutes in the restaurant. Not once was the unpleasant woman with the bob haircut apologetic or offered quality customer service. She approached me ONCE into the additional 40 minutes waiting that they were finally JUST MAKING my order. When we got home our sushi was terrible quality, finding multiple bones in our sushi rolls to the point where we didn’t even finish our meal. Do yourself the favor and do not come here and just drive the additional time to find a better sushi spot because while this was our first time having a bad experience with the food, it’s consistently a bad experience with the main woman on that staff."

"I've dined here a while back and was expecting the same food quality but it was disappointing. The prices have gone up but the quality down. I used to actually drive all the way here just to eat here but never again after this experience.BUYER BEWARE: The greatest surprise was when my bill came that there was a 3.5% Transaction Fee!!! Never before have I paid such a fee here and nowhere was it stated that such a fee was charged. Credit Card fees are a business expense like rent, electricity, license fees etc.... I brought it up to the restaurant and they just said sorry we just started doing it. Well, sorry I will NEVER return here and instead go elsewhere where I'm not nickeled and dimed I used to always get their Indonesian Fried Rice but this time it was practically about 1.5 onions sliced up in that dish along with lots of baby corn slices. The chicken pieces were chunky and unflavored as was the rice. And it was FREEZING inside the restaurant! But I remember that they've always been cold as if the heater has never worked.The Trout looked great when it came sizzling but that's where the fun ended once I took a bite into it. It was just drenched in a sweet sauce (prob Hoisin) but completely bland other than that. And lotsa fish bones that weren't removed. Definitely not safe for a child! Once again more than 1/2 the veggies were onion slices. It's as though the chef is over compensating to fill up their dish with onions instead.The side of noodles were just tossed in a sweet sauce with a bit of soy sauce. We ended up taking 2 bites and dumped the rest.Service: 5 Food: 1 Ambience: 1 Overall: 1.5 NEVER retuning here again.(Everytime I have ever been there I always tell them it's freezing and this time it was even worse)"

"I ordered doordash from here and the hibachi filet mignon and shrimp and was very tasty and cooked very well. However the sushi was nearly flavorless and spongey.. i ordered the pick 3 sushi special of spicy tuna, salmon, and yellowtail rolls. These rolls were FULL of cruchies and also even mixed into the fish!! Crunchies are a garnish and i didnt order a crunchy roll for any of them. I ate 4 pieces before i realized what they did to save up on product and didnt eat another bite and these photos got me a refund on doordash. Id come for the hibachi only if i were any of you but definitely not the sushi!!! Even wegmans sushi is better! Possibly even gas station sushi might make you sick but would have more flavor than this!"

"This was my first time dining here and I was extremely impressed and inspired by the flow of the staff.The entire restaurant filled up shortly after my party arrived.The service team was short staffed leaving only 2 servers and 1 sushi chef. These 3 teammates were phenomenal. It was clear that the odds were stacked against them with all tables filled and only 2 servers. Both servers were on top of everything. And the sushi chef would serve and support tables when she wasn’t preparing sushi.These 3 teammates should be highly commended on their ability to stay calm, committed and cheerful as they held down the fort like true professionals.Some of our food did come late which we expected given the circumstances. And yet, I couldn’t hold it against them as I watched them never missing a beat, completely focused on ensuring everyone was cared for. All 3 staff members had a warmth about them that was genuine.Even under the circumstances it was the best experience I’ve had in a restaurant in a long time."

"The restaurant has a stylish interior with a combination of natural wood and stone. Despite the hot weather outside, the air conditioning inside made for a comfortable dining experience. We shared chicken stir fry and sushi, both of which were delicious. The chicken portion was generous and came with salad and soup. The soup had good flavor, although it was a bit on the salty side. The salad was fresh, and the dressing was brought to the table for you to add as much or as little as you like. The stir fry had great flavor. We ordered a California roll, tuna, and crab sushi, all of which were tasty and reasonably priced. They also offer low sodium soy sauce for those watching their salt intake. The wait staff was quick and attentive, making for an overall good dining experience. I will definitely be returning soon."

"I’m originally from Long Island, was not a sushi fan until a girlfriend introduced me to it, I’m single now, but still like sushi from time to time. Had a hard time finding a place I liked since moving to NC, the rolls tend to be wider and thinner than I’m used up and I find it less suited for chopsticks. This establishment makes it the way I like, longer, tightly-rolled, easy to use with chopsticks and to dip in soy sauce.Been here a few times for both dine-in and takeout, I’m always satisfied. Best sushi place I’ve been to in NC and I’ve tried many."

"Good Sushi and Hibachi. Went on 08/11/22 and if there is one thing I want to comment?s the HOST! The girl is amazing. When we asked for the reservations, she went beyond and beyond to make sure that I had what I wanted. Once we were there, she was so incredibly friendly and kept busy. She knew it was my friend's birthday and at the end of dinner she went to the table to make sure he had a good birthday and that we sang happy birthday. The cook and the food were also amazing. The server was so incredibly sweet, but def seemed overloaded with tables (I saw her serving 7 big party-Hibachi table) but with how busy she was amazing and tried her hardest and I understand that I was short staff. She did a great job. But the host is 100% the reason for my review. The girl deserves an increase!! Look at the date and who worked and thank her because she is the first person you see when you come, is an amazing look for the restaurant"

"My husband and I went for a date night. We don't typically go to Havelock, but wanted to venture out and try a place we've never been before. The menu of the restaurant reminded us of a restaurant we used to like back in SC, so we decided to give this place a try. I'm so glad we did!! We started out with the Goyza and they were amazing. Delicious, crunchy, and plenty of meat. For our main course I order the Carolina Sunset Roll and my husband ordered the Steak Hibachi. When they finally arrived (a bit of a long wait for an almost empty restaurant) the wait was worth it! The portion sizes were large and the food was *chef kiss* Delicious!! The steak was soft and flavorful, the rice was cooked perfectly and the onions were tasty. Only complaint my husband had was there was not enough mushrooms (we only found maybe 5 or 6) and the rice to meat ratio was off. Next time he will definitely have to order double steak. As for the Carolina Sunset Roll... perfect!! I was a little nervous about the spicy mayo, as some places make it very spicy, but this one didn't really have any spice. It was super filling and tasty. After filling up and feeling stuffed, my husband had enough for a whole other meal, which we gladly took to-go. I can't wait to go again and have already started telling all my friends and co-workers about this place. Dietary restrictions: Plenty of seafood free options"
