"I had a bad experience from start to finish at the Old Mohawk. To start, we waited a reasonable 5ish minutes to be sat. Not horrible, not ideal. Total non issue if this was a lone occurence. We get sat, order drinks, and put in an order for an appetizer. We sat on the patio and dealt with a horrible methane smell the entire time. Totally gross. Before I go any further I should comment that the menu is a bit all over the place. Cajun pasta, cheeseburgers, crab tater tots, bratwurst. Not bad, just strange. On the other side the food is very affordable given the area. So we’re sat for a while with our drinks and we didn’t see our server, Ali, again until we got our food. We never got our appetizer, so I asked her to take it off our bill. Not a huge issue. Mistakes happen. Another issue was that she brought out my entree before my salad, so I had already forgotten about it and started to dig in to my main course. Then 5 minutes later she rolls out with my salad. The food, was good. My bratwurst platter looked more like skirt steak which I thought was strange but it was good enough. A little tough, but good. My girlfriend’s fish and chips were also pretty good. When we got our food I asked for a beer that I didn’t end up getting. We got done eating and asked for the bill, that bill came after 20ish minutes of waiting and asking another server to check on it. Overall pretty bad experience. We were planning to order 3 drinks each, get an appetizer and hang out for a while, but our server totally dropped the ball. I just moved to GV and was really excited to try this place out, but was totally disappointed. I’m hoping this was just a bad day, but it was bad enough that I found it was worth sharing my experience."

"This is our favorite steakhouse in Indianapolis. We even prefer it over other closer options when heading downtown for the symphony, as we've often been let down by their inconsistency. We've visited Eddie Merlot's about a dozen times in the past few years, and the food has consistently been exceptional. The wine selection is fantastic, and we’ve come across some incredible wines during our visits. The service is flawless too. Each time we dine here, it turns into a delightful evening!"

"Secondly, we were seated at our table after 4 PM, and I noticed that the mixed greens on the right side of the service area were quite brown, and the Romaine was in poor condition as well. This is disappointing, especially since dinner service started at 4 PM. While the rest of the food was good, that initial impression definitely affected my appetite. "This is my go-to spot for an evening out with friends. The restaurant is set in an old movie theater that's been beautifully transformed, giving it a unique and cool vibe. The dining area on the main level is perfect for enjoying a meal and having conversations, while the upper level features its own bar and lounge area. The staff are consistently friendly and welcoming. On weekends, you can catch live performances from various musicians and bands, and the restaurant occasionally screens movies on a large screen."

"Nice place to go eat some wings and visit with locals and feel comfortable. Been there for a long time now. Never any trouble here, maybe a little to many shots for a few and they start talking another language, LOL. It's a home town hang out, good music on jukebox, and Great wing's. "Yesterday afternoon at 5:40, I placed a quick order for a burrito, a chicken salad, and an appetizer. The appetizer finally arrived at 6:13, and I had already been waiting for at least 10 minutes for my drink. I needed to leave for work by 6:30. At 6:25, one of the male waitstaff called our table to inform us that we needed to leave soon and that my order was still pending. By 6:31, I finally received my order to go. After that, it took another 5 minutes to settle the bill. During the wait, my wife and I noticed that the female waitstaff was busy serving drinks to others while ignoring us, opting instead to flirt and socialize with older men who had been drinking."
