Additionally, one of the waitresses repeatedly called me by the name of another Black patron. After the third time, I corrected her, yet she seemed shocked and genuinely thought I was my friend Vic, who is ten years older than me and has no facial hair, while I have a full beard. Perhaps we all look alike to some.
Regardless, this is an unfair situation, especially considering the laws regarding medical cardholders like myself. The Corner Pocket itself has an unpleasant smell of grease and cigarettes, and it's always hot inside. The air conditioning units simply aren't sufficient. I arrive feeling clean and cool, but I always leave feeling sweaty and smelling bad. I wouldn't have chosen to go there if it weren't for the free poker league I’m part of. Now, even though I live nearby, I won’t be returning. Based on other Google reviews, you might want to reconsider going there as well. As for parking, be cautious. Don’t park in the back; my child’s mother was nearly abducted there. My car was broken into, and there are no security cameras around the entire building."
