We timed it perfectly and were among the first to be seated as the place filled up quickly. Wow, the chicken and dumplings were the best I’ve ever had, especially on a chilly day, paired with their famous cornbread. I also shared an “Irish” sandwich with my wife, which featured deli-sliced corned beef, Swiss cheese, and tomato on jalapeño cornbread. What a delightful combination! We even bought a whole coconut buttermilk pie to take home for an event the next day—oh, it was so delicious!"
