"We've been coming here since it opened. Then, they had operatic singers who waited tables and sang for your birthday or any time. Every so often someone would break a plate and cheers would erupt. They always gave you some crayons to doodle or play games while you waited for the food. There was old Italian 40s and 50s music playing. On each table was a bottle of wine and self served by the honor system, olive oil and balsamic vinegar. Before you left, they'd offer you a loaf of bread to take home. I miss those days. We went on Saturday to celebrate my and my daughter in law's birthdays. We arrived at 4:30pm and I requested the little room that used to have a curtain. We were told it was only for 10 people. There were 6 of us and the restaurant was quite empty. She was about to seat us right next to the kitchen, but I asked if we could sit in a quieter spot (since I have a hard time hearing in a noisy place-thus the room request) so we were seated in the middle of the main dining room. Someone put down a plate with oil, vinegar and pepper and immediately left. Then we got bread and they quickly dissapeared. Then I caught her attention and asked for one without the pepper. She brought one with only oil and put it on the table as she quickly passed by. Eventually I caught attention and got the vinegar. I hate pepper and love oil and balsalmic vinegar. Unusual, I know. Lydia arrived to take our order. She was very nice and attentive; a good waitress. I still like the food but I do wish they'd make that pizza they had before covid. It was the closest to back east pizza.. delicious! What a waste of good ovens! I love the parm crusted chick salad, though the bacon and chicken was more well done than usual. So...overall, I like the food. The waitress was great. But I miss the extras that made it special. Now it's just like any other restaurant."

"Let me tell you, my mom and I really enjoy coming to Macaroni Grill. She’s 93, and it’s a short drive to this location. Typically we order the brussels sprouts appetizer and something else. However, for some reason, the brussels sprouts were incredibly tough as though they had not been par cooked prior to crisping. We could barely chew them, but we did receive a huge portion. That part made us happy. We ended up taking the brussels sprouts home so that we can cook them better ourselves at a later date. My mom ordered lasagna, but the server brought out chicken Parmesan for her instead. So she had to wait for her meal to be cooked separately. This size of her lasagna was not very large in comparison to what we are used to receiving for that price. I gave her a bit of my chicken marsala while her meal was being prepared. It did seem as though some parts of this service was lacking given that we had no silverware or napkins initially at our table and had to ask for them. Others who arrived much later than we did were able to order, receive their meal, and ended up leaving much before we did. I’m not certain Why things felt a little slow for us. We enjoyed each other’s company, so we just ended up relaxing. we did receive a complementary dessert, and we were pleased about that. It just seemed as though our evening went a little slowly, even though we got there at 4 PM. There were only a few people eating when we arrived. We will return, as this is one of our favorite little spots. Overall, we always enjoy coming to Macaroni Grill , and we hope this location stays open for a long time in the future! If you’re wondering what to try, the chicken scallopini, chicken marsala, penne rustica, and mamas trio are wonderful! Actually, there’s really not a bad item on the menu. Indulge! "

"We had an awesome experience when we dined in on Thanksgiving day but last night was not fun. It started with our server who doesn’t know how to smile. It’s Christmas day and it could be a busy day at the restaurant but a little smile could bring a lot of holiday cheers to our family. We ordered calamari for appetizer and it was burnt, so we cancelled it. We waited for our server to bring bread to our table but I think we would be waiting for hours if we didn’t follow up. She brought the forks, knives, and napkins one at a time. The main dish tasted great but our server did not even check on us. Our table was not bussed prior to bringing the main dish and no drinks were refilled. We went on with our dinner then came the dessert part. Server came and asked if we need anything else. My husband asked me and before I finished my order, she started walking away. I said “canoli, pls” out loud because she was already behind me walking towards the other tables. We waited for good 15 minutes before my husband decided to go to the hostesses’s area to cancel the canoli, get the check, and ask for to go boxes. She was obviously having trouble of some sort because the manager came to one of her tables to apologize for something. We did not get any explanation or apologies about the delays and insufficient service we received. Finally, the server came to our table. She caught the charges on canoli and calamari (thankfully) so she changed and reprinted the check in front of us. She walked away without any explanation, apologies, or greetings. We would probably not come back here anymore."

"I made reservations at 8:30 p.m. Arrived early at 7 p.m., let hostess know we were there. Sat at bar for drinks. Took over 1/2 hour to get a first drink. One drink was awful; one was good. Ordered two more of the good drinks, took another 1/2 hour to get second drinks. Bartender was working too hard, restaurant was obviously understaffed for holiday. At 8:35 told hostess that we were still waiting to be seated. She told me there were four tables ahead of us. Why, I asked, if we had reservations, would there be that many still ahead of us? (No answer). She told us it would be at least 15 minutes. Went back to bar, ordered two more of the good drinks. At 9 p.m., I went back to hostess, a different hostess this time, who told me that there were now 8 tables ahead of us and that it would be at least 1/2 hour wait. How is this possible, I asked, that we made reservations for 8:30 p.m. on Valentines Day and we are now told that we have to wait until at least 9:30 (and, how the number of tables before us had increased was never explained). Undaunted, I went back to the bar, and at 9:10 our third round of drinks still hadn 't arrived. At about 9:15, the hostess unexpectedly arrived, showed us to our table. Waiter was rushed and seemed confused. We ordered the Valentine 's specials. Waiter took our order, only to return about 10 mins. later to tell us that the entree I 'd ordered (steak and potatoes) was out . I ordered another (pasta and shrimp, for which I was expected to pay extra). When I asked the waiter about our appetizer, he said he 'd check on it; instead, another server appeared after our dinner had already arrived to tell us that the appetizer (mushrooms) were no longer available, we had to order something else. The appetizer (calimari) we received between dinner and dessert was overcooked and unappetizing. Fortunately, our 3rd round of drinks showed up with the calimari, so, by that time, the drinks were welcomed. Not a good night."
