"Stuck in Mickey-land for a convention, a group of us were looking for a Sunday brunch spot. Oscar's at the Waldorf sounded like what we wanted and off we went. Although I'm not a lover of buffets, this one looked amazing, with more variety than usual, including a smoked salmon bar, prosciutto bar and honey dripping from a honeycomb! There were a lot of family's with kids, so it was a bit noisy, but that didn't really detract...everything the group of 4 tried, we loved. Only 2 things that were a little strange were that the cost of the buffet only included Mimosas, not **** Marys and there were no Eggs Benedict on the buffet??What impressed me most though was the commitment to making the customer happy. When I got to the salmon bar, it was empty, although two staff members I asked told me it would be restocked. When I mentioned it to our waiter, he came back and said they'd run out, which was disappointing. The manager came over an apologized, said they'd even sent over to the next door Hikton but they were out til Monday...not what I wanted to hear. 15 minutes later the manager appeared with a plate heaped with the best smoked salmon I've had in a long time....THAT is service."

"It was mother's Day and normally I don't want to go out then because it's always so crowded. But we managed to get a reservation. Of course it was noisier than usual but still a nice time and a good meal I absolutely love their cioppino! A really good spicy sauce and plenty of great seafood in it. My husband liked his fettuccine with sausage."

"I and the woman were in Atlanta for a concert and were looking for vegan food near our hotel. The place was the only one in the area so we decided to check it. We go in and are greeted by the very friendly lady at the counter. She asks about us and where we are from, and deals with a really pleasant conversation. We order the Bbq sand, the grilled chicken sandwich, the Pommes frites and the Mac and cheese. There are no tables at the place, but their is a long wooden bench attached to a wall to wait for guests who was really the only negative, but the experience was amazing so I won't pull out a star. We get pink lemonade and the sweet tea from the self-service drink station, it was a little sweet for our taste buds but I thought the taste was still really good. The food comes out in time and we get our food in a brown paper bag, and the optimistic front cahsier informs us that it is ok to eat on the bank. We dig in and are immediately overwhelmed how good our sandwiches are. Everything is incredibly fresh and the flavors were strong and tasty. The Mac and cheese is unique as it looked and tasted as it was grilled, which was a welcome taste. The Pommes Frites were well done and exactly what you want from fried pimples. We buy an Eclair Desert Mug on the way out and eat it back in our hotel and it was in line with the rest of the food, as it was just incredible. For anyone who thinks about food here: The food is amazing. If you don't mind taking it either to eat outside on the bench or in the lawn area, then you are overwhelmed by the aromas. For the owners and employees: I don't know why there are no tables, but if you remove the bank and put some tables in the house, the place would be perfect, but as I said, the food was so good that the establishment was still worthy of the 5 stars."

"I 've been going here for nearly 20 years and tonight was the worst I 've seen this place. Our table was not clean, it was sticky and had little food particles on it. My wife 's silverware was not clean, it had rice still stuck to it from whoever previously used it. Our waitress got her new silverware but never did apologize, instead it was Here ya go and that 's it. Our waitress was not personable to us, instead she seamed bothered and would walk off while still talking. The windows facing Lancaster were absolutely filthy with handprints everywhere and what looked to be slobber or food slung against them. As I looked up I couldn 't help but notice numerous cobwebs above us. It was sad to see this place so run down...Probably 25% occupancy tonight not very many people. Food was good though. I hope this restaurant can get it together."

"Roadhouse is a great spot with refreshing drinks and delicious food. We used to come in for happy hour all the time and can't wait for that to come back. In the meantime, I just tried the country cognac chicken with garlic green beans and mashedpotatoes, and it was really good. The Texas eggrolls are also a must try, very crispy and cheesy, with a spicy sweet chilisauce. Their incredibly soft bread and honey butter is always one of mt favorite parts. The staff is always friendly andattentive, and the food came out quickly even though it was busy. I highly recommend if in the area!"

"I love to sit in the bar when we go here. Friendly staff always takes good care of us. We started with the warm rolls, the butter really makes them worth the carbs. ? Their ceasar salad is always delicious, fresh, crispy romaine. The whiskey river salmon is a winner. I love that the sauce is on the side, so you can have the amount you like. If we didn't eat so much goodness, we could enjoy a dessert but we couldn't stop eating, so no room this time...next time...to-go boxes and room for dessert are the goal. ?"

"I have been at this restaurant, only once, at the beginning of December, 2021. I came here, while visiting my relatives in High Desert. The meal, that I have ordered, was quite delicious. At the same time, there was ample of space to sit down, and enjoy the meal. The working staff was helpful, friendly, and polite. The place looked quite clean. Nevertheless, the price for the steak was on the expensive side. Still, that price was quite worth it. In addition, they made good margaritas. So definitely, if anyone is in High Desert, and enjoy steaks, I would recommend a visit to this establishment."

"My friend and I have met here frequently over the past year and always sit in the bar area. We don?t order anything special, just beer and a chicken salad. Today our server was great, and attentive, but typically it?s sub par. What hit me right awaywhen entering the facility today was the disgusting smell of the bathroom. My friend and I smelled it right away when we enteredthe restaurant. The bathroom has always smelled like sewer, but this was the first time we could smell it when entering therestaurant. Before we left we made the mistake of using the bathroom. The smell was HORRIBLE! It smells like the sewer is backedup. A port-a-potty smells better than this place. I don?t understand how this is even considered up to code. Nor do I understandhow anyone can stomach sitting anywhere near the restrooms (in the dining area), because we were all the way in the bar andcould still smell it. ???? It?s absolutely foul!!"

"Overall, I enjoyed my experience and the staff were polite, attentive, and efficient. My wait was short and the meal delicious. My only minor qualm was that the air conditioning was a little on the cool side of the scale. Perhaps, as mysiblings and I were the first patrons to arrive with the dining area empty... Still, warmer clothing was required. Then therewas the ubiquitous curse of the flies. "Haven't gone to this local establishment in quite some time, but glad we did. Food was excellent. Started with their spin artichoke dip, creamy and warm with lots of chips. My wife had a Turkey sandwich made with real sliced turkey on really good fresh multigrain. I had the 12 oz prime rib special. Very nicely done slab of prime rib cooked medium as I requested, with garlic mash and mixed vegetables. All were excellent. The waitress was attentive and cheerful and made sure we had everything we needed, and checked back often. The decor is also nice kind of an island beachy theme. All and all very nice experience. "I'm from California, but it took me going to Dallas to try Los Angeles pizza. I've never understood why some cities try to replicate the food of other cities. Part of the reason I travel is to try the food that other cities and countries have to offer. If I traveled to Italy and there were a bunch of Chicago-style pizza restaurants...I'd hate that. I want Italian pizza in Italy and I want Dallasian pizza in Dallas. I would have been so much more excited to go here if the sign said Dallas Gourmet Pizza instead of LA Gourmet Pizza. Anyway, I've never tried pizza in Los Angeles, so I couldn't tell you if it was authentic or not. What I do know is that this place serves some great pizza, even if it isn't Dallas style."

"We went this past Friday and waited over an hour and half for steaks. We told the manager who went to back and we saw through the very visible window, the cooks throw the plates around and throw our ticket on top of one of our steaks. The grill was in a need of a cleaning, badly. Our steaks came out over cooked and somehow my husband’s steak was purple. We watched the cook use the same tongs to remove raw chicken and flip the done steaks. We noticed more than most because my husband grew up in the restaurant business. The waitress said she would get the manager but after leaving never came back with anything other than the bill. They took the alcoholic drinks off the bill but for steak dinners that took forever and overcooked we will not be back. With having kids, we don’t get out for dates much and it’s sad to have an experience like this. We have been to brown derby before and always have the best meals but seems like it’s headed in the wrong direction. Sadly, we will not be back."

"The food at this restaurant is fantastic. My family and I have dined here multiple times and we will definitely return. It would be even better if they had a location closer to where I live. This time, my wife and I shared the chicken fried steak and a burger, both delicious. Amber always takes great care of us whenever we come here to eat. Even though it's a 35-minute drive, we always come here for our date nights or day outings."
