"David serves the best ribs I've had in a long time. I opted to skip the incredible sauces he offers because I wanted to savor the flavor of the tender meat. The ribs were outstanding, showcasing a lovely pink smoke ring, and they required minimal sauce, as top-quality meat doesn't need much if cooked properly. When there's an abundance of sauce, it often suggests a cook is trying to mask mistakes. You can always add sauce later to suit your taste. The brisket sandwich was also excellent. I only wish we had ordered it by weight so I could focus on tasting just the meat and appreciate the nuances of his cooking style. My son and I make it a point to visit all BBQ joints rated higher than 4.5 wherever we travel, and we've tried quite a few. As a BBQ enthusiast with three different smokers, I may not be a professional, but I haven't encountered any restaurant BBQ that's better than what I make myself. I don’t think too highly of my own skills; I suspect many restaurants take shortcuts that compromise quality. Buckshot Honey is a whole different story; they do BBQ right!
