"What did we like? The best part of our experience was our server, Steph! Why? She made excellent recommendations after asking questions about what we had a taste for, she made recommendations based on our budget to enable us to taste some of the flavors we were interested in, and she made a custom ‘Crush’ for us! Crush is an alcoholic drink they serve in a variety of flavors. Because we could not decide on flavors, Steph made a special ‘Crush’ drink for our table. We loved it. If had berries, citrus and coconut flavors. Very refreshing drink! What do we wish we had known before we went? Price for seasonal items. Even though we weren’t on a ‘budget’, next time we will check the prices for Maryland crab dishes before goingjust so we don’t have sticker shock. We had no budget so we ordered the crab cakes $57 for two cakes and two sides). While the price can be shocking at first, the crab cakes were huge so two of us split the dish Steph had recommended that great suggestion). Highly recommend the crab cakes. All crab, no filler! Lightly seasoned so an excellent choice for those who like the natural taste of crab. Would we dine there again? Yes! And would come during the day so we can enjoy the view and outside seating. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $30–50 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Crushes, Crab Cake Sandwich, Cream of Crab Soup Parking space: Plenty of parking Parking options: Free parking lot"

"I was very excited for the long awaited opening of The Grove, as I had loved the previous restaurant, Yard. At first, I did not like that I had to make a reservation, but I can’t complain since every time slot was available. We walked right up to the host stand and were immediately taken to our table. We had planned getting dinner and drinks, but after tasting the BOGO edamame, we decided on just having drinks. I was very excited when I was told the $9 edamame was BOGO. When the edamame came out, there was probably only 15 pieces in each. It was only a couple of nibbles each! Additionally, the edamame said it came with their “Mojo sauce”, which ended up only being red pepper, salt, and pepper. Lastly, my biggest complaint, is that the edamame was so over steamed/cooked, that you couldn’t bite the bean out without getting some of the skin falling off into your mouth. Then there’s the drinks. I took a recommendation from our waiter, as I usually do at new places. He recommended the Walking Dead, which was also BOGO. I do love a deal, don’t get me wrong, but this drink was almost undrinkable it tasted that bad. I also tried the Agave Colada and Coco-Loco Margarita hoping that they would be better than the first drink I ordered. Sadly, they were just as terrible! The only thing that was great was the service, but that may be because the place was empty. It was only us and two other tables. I’m so sad that Yard had to be replaced with this!"
