"We have loved this spot for years, so I 'm hoping it was a one off bad night. That 's why I 'm giving 3 stars instead of 1 2. We waited close to an hour for our 3 sushi rolls and they were terrible. They were completely falling apart, making it near impossible to eat. I ended up using a spoon to scoop up the mess my first time eating sushi with a spoon! It was not busy when we arrived, but after the first 30 minutes or so, business picked up. Our server kept apologizing, but this place IS usually busy and it 's never impacted our service or meal. I had to go grab our plates/dishes, sauces, and extra napkins when our food had arrived because we were still waiting for these items. We did notice others arriving after us and being served food before us, so perhaps we had a new server, but that does not explain the quality of our meals. We will of course give it another shot, but I 'm not in a big hurry to do so. Again, we have come here for maybe 5 years and about once every few months. It has been our favorite local hole in the wall sushi restaurant. We recommend it to others as well. However, they are not the most cost effective so if the quality of service and/or food starts to slip, we will likely stop coming here. Konnichiwa is newer and further away and their food is not as good (usually) but their service, prices, and atmosphere are better overall."
