"Don't miss out on the charcuterie board; you'll be grateful you did. The crostini sesame bread paired with the white bean hummus is incredible. And those homemade pickled vegetables? Delicious! There's a reason The Heritage is renowned for their Manila clams—they are fantastic. We could have stopped there and left satisfied, but then we glanced at the dessert menu!
We opted for a flight of sorbets, and each flavor was delightful in its own way. The coconut sorbet was out of this world (we even borrowed some brownie from our sundae to enjoy with it, which was a fantastic decision). The lemon sorbet was creamy and balanced beautifully with the tart sweetness of the raspberry sorbet. Speaking of the raspberry sorbet, it tasted like a spoonful of sweet summer freezer jam. And then there was the warm brownie—rich, fudgy, and decadently chocolatey, topped with salted caramel ice cream. Sweet and savory? Count me in!
Not one to miss out, we also ordered the key lime pie served in the cutest mason jar. Honestly, I believe all pies should be served in jars from now on! After our visit, we've decided to return until we've tried everything on the menu at least once (and expect to revisit the desserts multiple times). Oh, and did I mention they’re opening a bake shop where you can pick up sweet treats and fresh-baked bread? I can hardly wait! My only regret is that I didn’t have more room to try even more dishes. I’m eager to go back!
Update 11/3/22: I returned to The Heritage for dinner, and it was just as amazing as I remembered. I started with my favorite appetizer, the Dungeness crab hush puppies. They were so delicious; my only regret is that I didn’t order more! For my main course, I had the house-made egg noodle pasta paired with the most flavorful Italian sausage I have ever tasted. Everyone else at the table couldn’t stop raving about the braised pork shank, which I was lucky enough to sample—it was equally delightful. The staff were friendly and incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. Our waiter’s descriptions of other dishes had us all drooling. I can’t wait to return (again and again)!"
