"New owners, quality of the food went way down. Ordered General Tao's chicken and received fried dough chunks, where's the chicken? Terrible! When I called to complain, they have an answering service that has no clue what they are doing. Been ordering from there for years so this was very disappointing"

"I really enjoy the sauce and the vegetables they use, and I love their egg rolls as well. I've tried food from China Fun, and it was terrible in comparison to Hunan. I've also eaten at Star in Fruitland, which isn't bad, but their egg rolls have an aftertaste. For now, I'll stick with Hunan until I discover something better. My next stop will be Number One Chinese."

"The sweet and sour chicken was excellent. The spareribs were tender but a bit underseasoned; they could have used some duck sauce. The Mapo Tofu was too spicy for my taste, and it didn't have any ground pork, just peas and carrots. Overall, it was average. However, compared to other Westernized Chinese takeout options in the area, this place isn’t bad at all."

One common complaint about Chinese food is that the flavors can be monotonous, but that is not true at China Star.
