"The food quality has gone down here. Standard dishes like mapo tofu should always be good, but now it is a dish without the signature mala flavor and with meager amounts of pork (I had to look really hard to find some). The sauce was very goopy and did not seem authentic. Weird color also. Overall I regretted ordering that, which is one of my favorite dishes. The twice cooked pork is a much better option. Flavor is better, portion could be a bit more generous. I'm ok with places like this not getting dishes like general Tso's chicken correct, but when you are flubbing mapo tofu it really falls into question the authenticity of your food. I would say that the mapo tofu at Szechuan kitchen a couple blocks away is much better. They also have better portions and prices. After this experience I will likely not return unless desperate."
