"My boyfriend ordered the Chicken Bites and I ordered the Chicken Waffle, along with a single sausage and 1 Biscuit Gravy for us to share. I'm torn between giving this restaurant 3 or 4 stars. First off, the fries that came with the Chicken Bites were not as expected - they were chunky breakfast-style potatoes, cooked well but lacking in flavor. My boyfriend enjoyed the chicken though. My Chicken Waffle was well-prepared, but we didn't receive the extra syrup or butter we had requested. The Biscuit Gravy had an interesting taste, not bad but not great either. It didn't quite match the sausage gravy I am used to. Here's why I decided on four stars: everything was cooked well and the portions were generous. However, this restaurant feels like a more authentic and organic version of a Cracker Barrel. It's great if you're not familiar with soul food or don't know any good southern cooks. But if you've had better versions of these dishes before, you may feel a bit underwhelmed."
