"Old School. That 's the way to describe Aggie 's, Old School. Kitty-corner to Aggie 's is a shopping area anchored by Tarjay, and including Five Guys Burgers. It looks like this was built within the last 10 years. Meanwhile, there 's this here burger shack that has been here for 55 years; at least that 's what the menu says. And it looks old: wood paneling, pictures of Marilyn Monroe and Elvis Presley, antique chandeliers, wooden chairs from several generations ago. And they don 't intend to update it to at least 1985. And that 's fine with me. For just over $26, I got a pastrami burger, the hunny got a hamburger combo, and my girl got a hot dog. I had no changes to my order, but my wife had all of the fixins taken off her intestines can 't handle the vegetables and my girl hates mustard, onions, and relish. Our waitress asked if we 'd like everything on our meal, two out of three said no, and it was no problem for them to do the customizations. Note that you need to ask for cheese, and it bumps up the price of the burger by 60 cents. Pastrami burger: good taste, the swiss cheese added a good flavor, just enough pastrami to make it uniquely tasty. Regular burger: it was very good. I saw listings and specials for spaghetti meatballs and teriyaki. Lots of restaurants in this immediate area, with lots of cuisine to choose from. Several choices for burgers, including Five Guys if you like corporate. If you 're stereotypical Bay Area, hate corporate giants, and want the local deal, there 's Aggie 's. A burger shack happily living in a time warp, as comfortable as an old sweatshirt, serving health food ! the same way they 've been doing it for decades."
