"I ordered a small takeout of Mala flavored wings, and they were delicious! It’s claimed to be their spiciest flavor—with three peppers on the menu—but I didn’t find it nearly as spicy as actual Mala. It had a bit of heat, and I’m sure those not accustomed to spicy food would find it quite hot. However, for someone familiar with Asian spice levels, it wasn’t particularly intense.
I have tried all their other flavors (except for maple) at other locations, and they are all excellent. There’s definitely enough variety to cater to all sorts of taste preferences. The small size comes with about ten wings, which are quite decent in size. The best part about bb.q chicken is that, regardless of the sauce you choose, your wings will always be crispy! This is a massive difference compared to typical Western-style wing places, which often over-fry the chicken, making it tough and dry in an effort to keep the wings from becoming soggy once coated in sauce. Korean fried chicken has a light and fluffy crunch while still being juicy on the inside.
I highly recommend it! You’ll likely find yourself coming back for more. I definitely plan to be a regular here, and I’m thrilled they’ve opened a location nearby!"
