"This is my first impression of this location. I stopped by Covina around 9:30 PM, but they had closed early. I waited in the car for five minutes, even though I could see people inside who noticed us. Unfortunately, I had to give them a 1-star rating later on. I called Baldwin Park to verify their hours, and they confirmed they were open until midnight, so off we went. The staff was very friendly and helpful in confirming our order.
I initially intended to order Taquitos, but after seeing some great reviews and pictures, I decided to get the Asada Nachos instead, and I’m glad I did. There were a lot of beans, but everything else was fantastic. We asked for the Chile Verde sauce on the side since my girlfriend doesn’t eat pork, but they have both a pork and a non-pork version. I recommend highlighting this option because it really made a difference.
While I wouldn’t say the Asada was the best I’ve ever had, nor were the beans, green sauce, or any other toppings, the combination worked well overall. We also got the mini-taquitos as planned, but they were so loaded with nachos that we only managed to eat them the next day. It definitely satisfied our late-night Saturday cravings.
Here’s a tip: they have four different salsas available. There's a bright red salsa (my favorite, as it pairs perfectly with roasted dishes), a chipotle salsa, a ranchera (my second favorite), and a green salsa (my girlfriend’s favorite). Be sure to try them all and see which ones you like best!"
