"We went to the Gaylord Texan this last week as part of a Telecom Conference of about 1500 people. We stayed in a Deluxe Suite and it was fantastic! I could never hear anyone walking in the halls or from the rooms surrounding ours. Our bed was comfy, we loved the living room area, and we were about a ten minute walk from the convention center in the Vineyard tower. We mostly ate food provided by the hotel for our convention and it was all delicious and they did a great job of not duplicating previous meals. We really loved the atrium with all of its restaurant/bar areas because after a day of meetings, we had endless places to meet up with people and it really felt like you were outside but without the horrible August heat. They took us all to the Glass Cactus for a big party one night and I was not sure that we would all fit but there was plenty of space! The hotel provided shuttles for us to go to and from the Glass Cactus and they were prompt and courteous."
