"I'm not one to normally write a review, but to not share my experience would be doing the community a disservice.I got to the restaurant with my plus one at 7:30. There was one other person in the restaurant. We were sat down by a middle-aged woman with black hair and she prompty asked if we were ready to order. We hadn't been given a literal minute to look over the menu. I told her no and she then explains that the restaurant would be closing in 30 minutes; although the website and Google state 8:45 PM. I said okay and to come back in 5 minutes. She returns and we place our order. Shortly after she returns with the food. 40 minutes later, she never returns. We finished eating 20 or so minutes after getting our food, recalling they were closing at 8 PM. I can hear her around the corner talking to someone, so I turn the corner to find her on FaceTime. I ask for the check and she states that she will bring it to the table. Ten minutes later, she is still on FaceTime but does not bring the check. At this point I have gone from slightly aggravated to annoyed. I walk over and ask for the check and she says that I can pay at the terminal. Why tell me that you will bring the check over if I can pay at the counter? I ask for the itemized copy of the receipt, given all I can see is a total. I pay and ask for a to-go container.I will not return given the treatment from the one and only staff seen with an empty restaurant and I would advise you to avoid dining in at all cost."

"This won 't be pretty..... My favorite cucuisine is Asian. Thai, Chinese, Vietnamese....I 'm down with all of them. I heard Totties had a new owner, new menu. Decided to grab some take away check it out. 3 Dishes set me back $49.71 1. Pad See Ew w/ fried tofu mild 2. Shumai 3. Panang Curry w/ chicken mild 1. The Pad See Ew, decent assortment of overcooked veggies, including broccoli, boc Choi, carrots, bean sprouts, and fried egg. The fried tofu was good, and the sauce flavor was not bad. Noodles absolutely sucked, as they were clumped in bundles, not allowing the sauce to coat individual noodles, and were not properly stir fried. The smokey black soy, wok fried flavor, typical of this dish, was completely absent. 4.5 out of 10 2. Shumai I 've never come across chicken shumai, (wtf? the meat inside noodle wrapper was over cooked, dry and tasteless, the noodle wrapper was an odd combo of dry/rubbery soggy/falling apart. I 'm guessing it 's because of an extended time in a freezer or maybe because of being microwaved? Absolute S#! ! 0 out of 10. Whoever made this dish needs remedial training. 3. The other adult in my party had the panang curry, their comments 'no peanut flavor, thin watery sauce overly spiced for mild '. They bumper car 'd between a 3 and 4 out of 10. I suppose there was a reason that there were less than 8 people dining in the restraunt at 6:15 on a friday evening in Scottsdale on Barrett Jackson weekend. Anyway, I 'm sure readers have picked up on my displeasure and assume I do not recommend and won 't return they would be..... CORRECT."

"We have been customers of Pacific Thai for six years and have always enjoyed the food. Since COVID, the prices have gone up, which is understandable, but then they started tacking on an arbitrary service fee for takeout, which they have posted on a sign by the register is a minimum of 5 . I ordered dinner for our family of five for my daughter's birthday and asked for a total over the phone. I was told the total was $271. I almost choked on that total, but accepted it and came prepared to pay that total plus a tip. When I arrived to pick up my order and the woman rang me up, she informed me that they had already added a 20% service fee, which added $50 to my total. If we were having dine in as a family of five, we would not have qualified as a large enough group for an automatic tip. I was outraged that the total was now $321. When we eat at The Shadowbrook, where we have multiple appetizers and wine with dinner, we come out around $200 for the five of us. $321 for a family of five was INSANE. I did not want to make a scene in front of my daughter because it was her birthday, so I did not say anything. When we left, however, my daughter and her boyfriend were horrified that the tab was so high and that they had just added on the 20% without warning. They then told me that they had stopped going to Pacific Thai for this reason. A boba tea and an order of spring rolls would put them over $20 with the arbitrary take out fee sometimes being 15% for a very small order. We will not be going back."
