"The menu sounds intriguing. My issue was that it's like the food and plating (as you can tell by the pictures) is from the 1980's and has never been updated to today's standards. There was an overall lack of seasoning and spices on every dish. I went in expecting soul food but instead got bland dishes filled with dried parsley or cheese garnishes on the plate. Soul food means flavor it doesn't have to be hot spicy. I got the feeling they cater to older people who want large portions and don't care much about taste."
