"The waiter was somewhat impolite initially but became friendlier towards the end of our meal. Unfortunately, they forgot to bring the side dish I had ordered and did not check on us throughout the meal. Additionally, there were several of us who wanted a glass of wine but struggled to get one."
"we have chosen j. gilberts after a friend recommendation to celebrate my birthday. the check-in was fast and the staff was friendly and attentive. our server was there, so a great guy! he runs my family and I to navigate the drink and feed menu for this first time experience. the weeping and eating were great! desert was a courtesy for the birthday child (I) lol. I can only say that this place is one of the best restaurants in ct. definitiw above 5. thanks for the great dinner!"

"My wife and I visited J. Gilbert’s on a trip to the east coast a few months ago. We enjoyed it so much that we decided to stop on our way back west. Raven helped us, and did an amazing job guiding us through the menu and drink selection (lots of choices). J.Gilbert’s is now one of our favorites and is the #1 restaurant on our list to go to when in Omaha. Thanks!"

"hostess who was unwilling to provide a different table with an entirely empty restaurant. Told the owner was coming and that table was unavailable, I'm sure the owner would prefer a customer to stay and spend money and should gladly give up a table. The menu is like a clam shake with only three entrees available. I am very empathetic to the current situation with covid but a box of kraft Mac n cheese come on... it does not take much to make homemade Mac n cheese. Our waiter was wonderful he brought us to a better table inside so my mother was not in front of an open door on a 50 degree evening. He was cheerful despite the challenges I am sure he deals with every day. I do hope that the owners can turn this around and relook at a menu that customers want when eating in a beautiful location. "Food was excellent as usual! The Aussie lamb chops was amazing. This time my steak was super dry but the restaurant was very a accommodating! Mayling is an absolutely phenomenal server! I would even suggest that you ask for her. Mayling is so good that this is our second time at the restaurant and the first time was like 5 months ago and she remembered us from our initial visit! "Went for our anniversary and we were beyond impressed! Food was perfectly cooked and delicious! They even provide a complementary champagne toast or dessert on your anniversary. I took away a star for two reasons: 1. We had a reservation. Another 2 person reservation for the same time showed up after us and got seated first. The host seemed annoyed when I pointed it out. 2.
