"For our appetizers, we tried the hush puppies. They were delightful, although perhaps a touch oversalted. For the main courses, I ordered the Smoky Beet Tartar, which turned out to be a bit different from what I expected. The smokiness overpowered the beet flavor at first, but it grew on me as I continued eating it. My boyfriend chose the duck tostada, which was flavorful and well-seasoned.
Lastly, I tasted the bread pudding. I have a soft spot for bread pudding, but I wouldn’t choose this one again. The flavor was quite mild, and the accompanying sauce was rather bland as well. Overall, I enjoyed the atmosphere and appreciated the unique menu offerings. I would definitely return, and our waitress was absolutely lovely!"
