"This restaurant leaves me with mixed feelings. As someone who loves Southern cuisine and has spent many years in the heart of the South, I found the hush puppies to be just okay. I would have preferred some simple yet well-prepared hush puppies instead of what was served. They weren't bad, mainly due to the generous amount of Sriracha mayo drizzled on top. I also tried the BLT small plate and the wedge salad; both were quite good, although I wasn't fond of the dressing on the wedge—it had a smoky paprika buttermilk flavor that didn’t appeal to me. The BLT plate featured fried green tomatoes topped with pimento cheese, pork belly, butter lettuce, and a hefty amount of Louisiana hot sauce. While it felt a bit over-the-top, it was still enjoyable. My husband ordered the catfish with succotash, which he found well-prepared and satisfying. For dessert, we had the coconut cream pie, which was delicious, although the crust could have used a better texture. The service was acceptable, but we were seated at what I presumed to be an emergency exit, which led to some unexpected chilly breezes interrupting our meal. The atmosphere was open and modern, with a reasonable noise level."
