"This was previously one of our favorite lunch spots. However, during our most recent visit from Akron to Vermillion, we had a very unfortunate experience with the owner, who was both insulting and rude. After enjoying a pleasant meal and receiving great service from our waitress, I accidentally ripped my pants on an exposed nail while getting up from the bench seat. When I brought this issue to the owner’s attention, he dismissed my concerns and offered no compensation for my damaged pants. When I pressed the matter, he swore at me, drove off in his VW van, then suddenly stopped in the middle of the street, jumped out, and threw $40 at me while hurling more insults. This experience has convinced me that I will not return to Woodstock Cafe again!"
