"I recently ate dinner on a slow Monday evening with about a dozen customers in the bar area. A nice barkeep greeted me a minute or so after I sat and attended to me cordially throughout the evening. Based on my good experience from earlier in the year, Ibasically repeated my order from then with a change or two: Blood orange spritz to start with a house salad, a crab cake entreewith mash and asparagus, ten ounce sirloin medium rare with baked potato and Brussel sprouts, and chocolate mousse cake tofinish. My drink came promptly and tasted good overall even if I would like a little more blood orange flavor. The house saladlooked and tasted fresh with crispy croutons. A little less dressing at the bottom would give this salad a better mix ofdressing to vegetables. Fresh cracked pepper instead of the small shakers would be better as well. Crab cakes had a pleasingbroiled texture, satisfying crab to binder ratio, a thermally warm temperature, and a light taste. I wonder if a little morelump crab instead of mostly backfin might elevate these cakes a touch more. Asparagus had good grill flavor and texture. Mashedpotatoes tasted like they had a little too much salt and/or dairy in them but were still quite palatable. Steak temperature wasmedium rare by touch and between medium rare to medium by sight and had good grill flavor. I was glad to see this baked potatocome with a decent salt crust on the skin and appropriate accoutrements, most of which I used. Overall the texture was pleasingeven if the potato could have been hotter on arrival. The Brussel sprouts were portioned and cooked well. I could have done witha little less salt to bring more flavor since this side included prosciutto and mustard. The chocolate mousse cake had a smoothmousse with plenty of chocolate flavor and a more moist cake than last time. The raspberry ice cream served as a welcomecomplement. My bill was just under $100 excluding tax and tip. I could certainly return if I were in the a"

"Been wanting to try this place for years after reading about it some time back and I finally found myself in the area. I had made a reservation well in advance and would suggest you do the same. I found using the GPS was helpful. Ample parking on site. Nice rustic charm with a genuine friendly staff. Immediately upon being seated I followed the advice of our server and ordered the mesquite-a-rita, I found them extremely more-ish because after the first one, l just kept ordering more. We started off with the jalapeno bites, the cream cheese maintained the right consistency and didn 't leak through the crispy cooked bacon wrapping, while exceptional, we found trying to eat the entire plate was an overwhelming challenge for two people. The wife ordered the chopped blue cheese salad, while l ordered the green chili hominy. We equally enjoyed both. While she enjoyed her mesquite grilled chicken, l enjoyed the peppered strip. Both were prepared superbly and we shared and sampled both. We also shared the bread pudding for dessert. The whiskey, pecan and sour dough flavors blended into a real one of a kind treat. Our taste buds were in food heaven. We had fantastic service, our service was attentive but never to the point of being remotely annoying. Based on what we had previously read, we went in expecting great food with good service, instead we were truly treated to an exceptional dining experience where we enjoyed culinary cowboy treats and never needed anything but bigger stomachs. I 'd highly recommend visiting this establishment. But don 't visit just for the food, visit instead for the entire experience. "This restaurant is not the place for a Texas steak. I did some research for a nearby steakhouse while traveling, and this place was rated pretty good for steak and BBQ. We had dinner on a Wednesday night at 7:30. The waitress was friendly, but seemed overworked. She could have been more attentive, especially when larger tables came in after us. I ordered a ¾ inch Ribeye cooked medium, but it was closer to medium rare. I asked for a rib end and the most aged cut available, but received the mid-section without the fat cap. Some parts of the steak were tender, while others were tough and sinewy. The meat had a livery mineral taste, indicating the animal may have been stressed or not bled properly at slaughter. The overall flavor was not the best, and it was clear that the meat was not grass-fed. The grilled vegetable skewers looked nice but were undercooked and lacked seasoning. The house salad was past its prime, with soft grape tomatoes and store-bought blue cheese. The salmon entree was tasty and properly grilled. We received an excessive amount of bread, as the waitress kept bringing out baskets without considering our needs. Our drinks were not refilled promptly, and we had to ask for service from the manager once larger tables were taken care of. We felt rushed and neglected throughout our meal. By 8:30, they were turning away customers, which was disappointing. We were hoping for a quality Texas beef experience, but unfortunately, we did not find it here."

"My husband just placed an order online and the meal cost us over $50 which is fine because normally their food is really good and it's worth the price however today when my husband came home with our order we were missing items and when I called to let them know they gave me the worst customer service one after the other. A woman there who says she's a supervisor by the name of Kaylee with the k did the bare minimum to solve my issue. She had a sarcastic attitude the whole time and clearly doesn't know good customer service regardless if she says she has been in the company for 5 years. I've been in the food industry for over 10 and I know good customer service as a manager. Because of her poor attitude as well as her employees poor attitude I give them a one star and I will never be going there again they did the bare minimum by telling me I could come back to get the hush puppies that get this Kaylee is technically responsible for me not having in the first place because she is the one who says packed my meal! The Irony! I could have easily been a really big Karen and said that I'm returning the food and I want all of my money back! So the least she could have done is been more apologetic and actually meant it as well as maybe offered me possibly a free dessert. Idk. . Lol anything to show that they actually care about their customers would have been nice especially because the last three times that I've ordered food from them they have forgotten something. I told her that too and she could care less."
