"A friend and i have lived in the area for years but have never been to the Pineville Tavern. We were excited to finally go there. What a disappointment. For appetizers, I ordered the Snapper Soup and my friend ordered the bacon wrapped shrimp. I love Snapper Soup but it isn't usually on the menu so I was really looking forward to it. It could have been poured from a can of Campbell's. It was blah. I like hot but the bacon wrapped shrimp were so hot that we couldn't eat them. It wasn't a good, spicy hot, but like someone had just shook Red Hot over the whole thing. Then we both got steak I got the 6 oz filet, she got the prime rib. We both ordered them medium. Mine came out looking like a rock it was so charred and well done. My friend's prime rib was still mooing. All in all, not a good experience. We had such high hopes but were really disappointed."
