"I used to be a faithful customer, but I stopped going to the restaurant during the pandemic. They had given loyal customers a coupon card to mark off each meal we had there, and it clearly stated that my sixth meal would be free. Today was my sixth meal, so I handed them my card to show that I was a long-time patron. However, they told me that they no longer honored that offer. The timing seems quite convenient for them. I fulfilled my part of the deal, but they refused to uphold theirs. Is this how you treat loyal customers? There's a much better Mexican restaurant just around the corner."
