"Last week, Washington County invited Southern Yanks to come in and sell soup for what was advertised as $8.00 per quart. When we arrived, I noticed that the containers were 'pint-sized. ' They (Southern Yanks ' said there was a mistake in printing and it was $8.00/pint. Hmm, ok, bc I did not bring my lunch that day and they had me over a smoker. I got 2 PINTS for $16.00. When I got home, I had one for dinner and it was more fat and gristle than meat and was very salty. When I warmed the second one, I decided to with it, and the pint (16 os) container contained 12.7 oz of soup. What a ripoff. I will NEVER give these crooks my business even if they offer a free steak with each quart/pint/CUP AND A HALF of soup. I can get local Eat 'n Park quarts for $5.00. Sorry, you lost a customer for false advertisement and substandard soup, and unwillingness to honor the advertised price, which would have brought more customers than you could handle. So disappointed and ripped off. (I was in the restaurant business and always gave value in the form of price and portion to my patrons) Maybe you don 't need repeat customers. Or maybe you need the soup lady to shop and cook for you."
