"I threw a surprise party for my mother on June 29th, 2023 and we had beef tacos, chicken tacos along with corn, rice and beans with various salsa's. 24 hours after the party we had approximately 15 who became sick with violent diarrhea, stomach cramps and nausea. Thank God no one had to go to the hospital. It lasted about a day. We narrowed it down to the rice and beans cause everyone who did not eat the rice and beans was ok but the people who did eat the beans and rice got very sick. When I spoke to Salvador who is the one in charge of the catering he basically said to sue him and he did not want to reimburse us for anything. He stated that he has insurance and to sue him. He refused to give me the number of his insurance company and basically did not care that his restaurant could have killed people with food poisening. Very disappointed. The tacos did taste good though. There food truck was a really dirty creepy white van that was unsightly at the party. I even tipped the cook 100 dollars just to be a blessing. If I were you I would not eat here or do catering here. My mother's birthday was ruined by her getting food poisening a day later."

"I have been trying this restaurant ever since it opened I used to really like the food there and most of my friends still do, but I think the food is a little sub par from when they first came into Alameda. However, many people I know do not happen to agree with me and it was crowded enough, so I guess many people still do enjoy it."

"New favorite place, their food is so delicious, I had to go for another round today, they took me in like 10 minutes before they closed I felt bad because they were about to close but they took me in, and treated me well. They were happy to take me in, I also met the owner he was super cool! "So called this place to come in because they actually have a pretty decent food. My mom loves their chili Colorado burrito. They said they closed at 9 we said okay we are on the way down to order food. They said no problem and we get their 20 minutes later and they said they are closing early. With the door still unlocked. Damn must be nice to not need business, saw three other cars pull in and pull off. My order alone was going to be around $60 bucks before tip and yes I love to tip huge for great service which is getting so hard to find today. And who knows what the other cars were going to spend, when it comes end of business quarter or year and wondering why there isn’t more money remember you like to close early. Prolly missed out on an easy $200 dollars which if business is ran right the profit on that could’ve saved the day if is was that slow to close early. Or at least lighten the sting when payroll comes around. It sucks because we just came back from camping and want the bomb burritos. "This place seems to have some cool ideas. Tried the Vaquero roll and the Aloha roll. I'd say go with the Vaquero. The flavors for both were sort of meh I felt. Not bad, but not exciting. The ideas behind the rolls and flavors involved were really exciting, but I just felt like there was something missing flavor wise although I can't put my finger on what it would be. MV has so many other options, I would love to try more still regardless of how I felt about these rolls. The inside was very clean and a nice little spot. The food was also extremely fresh tasting, which was awesome. If you want to try something new (well it was new for me), give them a chance. I'll be heading back to try some of the seafood options, as they look amazing."
