To make matters worse, she was denied a refund for the $200 she had paid, with the excuse that people had supposedly been complimenting the cake while it sat on the counter. I’m not sure who could have complimented that "cake," but if it didn’t match what my mom had requested, which the business had agreed to create, I don’t understand why they wouldn’t refund her money since the cake was completely returned.
I’ve seen other cakes this bakery has made, and it seems like they simply couldn’t deliver what my mom wanted. Instead of being upfront about that, they took her money and failed to provide the cake she envisioned. Whatever happened to good customer service?"
