"Had a hankering for some Thai food today and decided to take out from Gin Thai Brasserie. I ordered the Pad See Ew, Low Carb Pad Thai, Steak Bites, Fresh Rolls and a Thai Iced Tea. Although we didn 't dine in, the restaurant was nice and clean. It 's on the small side, so seating could be limited around dinner time. The Fresh Roll (2pc) was filled with lots of fresh shredded veggies and a decent piece of tofu. It comes with peanut dipping sauce. They were very good and lived up to its name. All the reviews I read raved about the steak bites, so I had to try them... and I wasn 't impressed. It 's thinly sliced 'marinated ' beef, served with a citrus/chili dipping sauce. My wife and I both agree that what it lacked, was ANY flavor. Very bland. I wouldn 't order it again. My wife had the 'low carb ' Pad Thai. I didn 't have any, but she liked it and said she 'd order it again. Being low carb, there is only a very small amount of noodles, the rest of the 'bulk ' was made up of shredded veggies like cabbage, carrots and bean sprouts. Cooked like traditional Pad Thai in a familiar tasting sauce. She got it with chicken for an extra buck and there was a lot of it. I had the Pad See Ew. This is one of my favorite Thai dishes and GTB 's iteration was just as good as any other reputable Thai restaurant. Rice noodles, veggies and chicken, stir fried in a dark, sweet soy sauce. It was really good. I also had the Thai Iced Tea which, let 's be real only needed to do one thing, and that 's taste like Thai Iced Tea. It did. It was good sweet, creamy and tea y. Overall, with the exception of the disappointing steak bites, my family and I will eat at GTB again. The flavors are good and the ingredients taste fresh. The price per dish is similar to other Thai restaurants in the area and I was more than satisfied with size of all the portions. A solid 4 !"

"Cute little restaurant to stop in for a meal but the real value is when you get takeout! The takeout portions are great! Prices here are super reasonable for the area and Manhattan which makes the takeout option even better. I initially got food delivered from here. The pad thai was SO GOOD that i started looking at this place fondly whenever i passed by. Something about the way they made the chicken man. The portion was so big i was able to have it for two meals.Eventually i stopped in to have the pad thai in person. Portion was decent. I finished the order in one sitting. The chicken didnt taste the same this time but it was still good. I also got the taro custard with sticky rice. It was okay. I expected it to be more fluffy/jiggly than it was. Flavor was alright, not super strong on the taro but it was still there. The sticky rice wasn't as sticky as I'm used to. I finished both orders and was so full when i left.Food verdict:5/5 pad thai2/5 taro custard4/5 thai milk teaI ordered a Thai milk tea to go. I had it the next day and it was good, just a little too sweet.Service was great. The man at the front of the restaurant was really nice, smiled at me everytime i looked at him. While i was dining multiple people came in to pick up deliveries. No one else dined in while i was there. The restaurant is small with a few tables but lots of plants around with hand drawn special menus on the wall. It feels clean and cozy. I would come back but will probably do their lunch special for delivery as my next order."
