"What an amazing restaurant/shopping. I always love to get Filipino food, especially coming from Tropical Hut. I walked inside and basically like a tiny supermarket with food, wow, it made me feel happy. I got my food and I have to say, this is a place worth coming back to after what I ate! The flavoring of how everything tasted was spectacular. Service was good! Staff are very friendly and are working real hard to keep the food fresh and customer satisfaction to be positive, however, it is a bit complex for the staff to understand what you want to order as they might tend to get confused, but that is no issue. Atmosphere was good as well! The sitting area is so cute. Very tiny area with quite literally 4 tables. Music in the background was definitely very fitting and gotta say, bathroom was solid clean, something to always make sure about restaurants Overall, this restaurant was a solid 8/10. This is a place I would come back to for some more food again as it is clean and has some real good food, I wouldn’t have it as like a dinner, but maybe would have it as like a quick lunch to have and go but otherwise, I would definitely order from here again! Parking: Street Parking out in the front. Couldn’t tell if it was paid street parking. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4 Recommended dishes: Special Noodles Parking space: Somewhat difficult to find parking"

"We had made a reservation for 15 people at 7 PM to celebrate a friend's birthday. We arrived right on time and were seated immediately. We placed our orders for food and drinks at 7:05 PM, and while we received our drinks by 7:10 PM, we were still waiting for our food. By 7:30 PM, we asked our waiter for an update, and he informed us that our meals would take another 20 minutes. We noticed that two tables seated after us had already ordered and received their food within 10 minutes. Assuming the delay was due to the size of our party, we decided to wait a little longer. However, by 8:00 PM, we could see that the two tables behind us were almost finished eating while we still hadn't received our meals. At 8:30 PM, with the restaurant set to close soon, I asked the waiter to speak with his manager. The "manager" came upstairs, and when I told him we were leaving due to the wait, he apologized and said our food was on its way, citing a "glitch" in their system. As I looked over at the tables behind us, I realized they had ordered the same platters as we did, which made me suspect that our food had been mistakenly served to them. We received no apology for the delay, no offer of appetizers while we waited—nothing. The only reason we stayed was because we had reservations elsewhere and worried we wouldn't have enough time to be seated and served at another restaurant before our next commitment. When the time came to pay, we were not offered any compensation and were required to pay full price for a meal that was mediocre at best. The so-called manager claimed he couldn't authorize any discount or compensation because he was not the actual manager. To make matters worse, the rice was undercooked, the BBQ was extremely dry and overcooked, and everything tasted as if it had been sitting out for a while. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone, especially if you’re planning a large birthday party or gathering. You will experience terrible service, wait an unreasonable amount of time for mediocre food, and still be required to pay full price after waiting an hour and a half for your meal. I called the restaurant today to express my concerns, but I was told that there was no manager or owner available to speak with me. I plan to call again later to try to reach someone in charge."

"I've visited Tropical Hut a few times recently, and each visit has been delightful. On November 26, I stopped by for their special Christmas glazed ham to take out, along with Pancit Palabok and some of my favorite Magnolia Ube Queso ice cream. It was a quick and enjoyable stop, and I was thrilled to get some Lumpiang Sariwa as well — I wish they offered it every week! During this visit, I also picked up some tubes of Magnolia avocado and mango ice cream. I appreciate that the owner and staff are attentive; when one employee asked me about items in my shopping basket, I assured her that I was using the provided basket and hadn’t put any unpaid items in my bags. She checked, and there was no issue at all. Overall, my experiences have been nothing but pleasant. The atmosphere is nice, the food is fantastic, and the people are friendly. On October 14, I enjoyed some delicious desserts, and on October 7, I found that while some imported items like ice cream from the Philippines can be pricey, it’s absolutely worth it when it comes to Filipino flavors. If you love the food, the slightly higher prices for certain items shouldn't deter you — the quality makes it worthwhile. On my visit at the end of September, I rated them five stars for their reliable selection of prepared Filipino dishes. I highly recommend trying Tropical Hut for a taste of home!"
