"I can't believe I have driven past this place so many times and missed this gem. One day at work, I was looking up Jamaican restaurants in Queens Village and came across Jenivieve's J Rotisserie. I had stopped by on a Saturday to order the curried chicken, rice and peas (with potatoes and carrots and cabbage..lunch special. I got home and my wife and I could not believe how good that food was. I have checked out nearby West Indian restaurants, but none of them compare to Jenivieve's J Rotisserie! I had to go back! So on my way home from work on a Thursday night..I had called in (around 5:15 pm and spoke to the friendly young lady who serves the food. I had ordered the curried goat dinner and wifey wanted the curried chicken dinner (both scrumptious! . The plantains were already gone (I can only imagine how good the sweet plantains are . My wife wanted me to order the j salmon since we have read so many good reviews about it. Man oh man..I got home....my wife was enjoying the whole salmon and forgot to let me try it before it was all gone! I did try piece of that salmon and hands down...this place knows how to cook j salmon....very impressed! My family is from Jamaica, West Indies, and I can confirm that the food here is IRIE and trust me...after tasting the food once...you will have to come back and order more. I don't even want to order from any other Jamaican restaurant. Oh yeah, by the way, I love the reggae music that they play in the restaurant and they have a good seating area for a nice sized party."

"Regarding the atmosphere and COVID-19 precautions, I loved that the space was spacious, with plenty of seating and large tables on the terrace. The indoor temperature was just right—not too hot or cold—and everyone, including the staff, wore masks. Since it wasn’t crowded, it made for a pleasant dining experience. To order, you simply go to the register, pay for your meal, and everything is brought to your table since we chose to dine in. For drinks, we ordered two lattes: a vanilla latte and a Nutella latte, both made with oat milk (they have plenty of options). I appreciated that everything, including the syrups, is made in-house, and both lattes were delicious. I chose the chicken waffles, while my friend opted for the “Good Morning” breakfast. I thoroughly enjoyed the chicken waffles, though my friend's meal was more basic. Her toast was quite simple, but when she requested some marmalade, they brought her a delightful jam. Their menu is fantastic, offering something for everyone—from chicken waffles to avocado toast. For dessert, I ordered the s'more brownie from their bakery selection, which was absolutely delicious! Oh, and they even have what looks like a full bar! I can’t wait to try their drinks. As for service, it was exceptional. Brent was the one who checked us in; he was super friendly, helpful, and patient. I even bought one of their cool H-Town shirts. Another server named Brent helped with some of our food and was also very friendly and accommodating. Their attentive service truly enhanced our experience. Overall, I’m really glad I visited the Roastery. We had such a lovely time and felt very welcome. We enjoyed a great meal at a reasonable price, topped off with excellent service. What more could you ask for? Plus, it’s in a fantastic location—this café is definitely worth a visit!"
