"This is a lovely old world Italian restaurant that reminds of another time. It was a snowy day and the restaurant was not crowded for lunch, but the food was great. The bread was fresh and delicious. The homemade minestrone was light and fragrant. The shrimp were excellent. It was my girlfriend's birthday, and our waiter, on his own initiative, brought a delicious dessert with a message in chocolate. We will come back in any case."

"I would give this place 5 stars if I could. Even though they gave me the wrong sandwich (I ordered the vegan meatball marinara sub but got vegan steak and bbq), this place was SO DELICIOUS. The fresh baked bread 10/10, the vegan steak 10/10, home made bbq sauce 10/10. They have a great selection of vegan and vegetarian sandwiches, many different kinds of meats, veggies, sauces and breads, all vegan. So so pleasantly surprised by this place, definitely going back!"

"I've given this place a few chances and tried various dishes, but everything has been just okay—not good, but not terrible either. The best way to describe the food is that it's extremely mediocre. We didn't really enjoy our meals but ended up eating them just to avoid wasting food. We might consider going back if it were the only restaurant open one night or if we lived or worked nearby, but we would never say, "Hey, let's go eat there.""

"With over 100 items on the sandwich menu, I opted for the Menage a Trois, made with halal chicken breast, real honey, honey mustard, BBQ sauce, pepper jack, Swiss, and smoked Gouda. The combination of the chicken breast, honey, and BBQ sauce was delightful. However, it was the Dutch crunch bread that truly made the sandwich stand out. They also offer a sauce called "dirty sauce" that I'd love to have again—I can’t quite recall it, but I remember that the bread's crunchiness and softness were memorable. San Francisco is fortunate to have a place like Ike’s for its sandwiches."

"Violetta quickly learned my usual vegan orders and began suggesting different sandwiches for me to try, which I really appreciated. The online menu has always been available, but I was thrilled to see the wall menu updated recently, adding many more vegan options. Another major improvement has been the turnaround time for orders. I used to dread making the trip to Ike's because it often took at least 30 minutes to an hour from my nearby office to receive my sandwich. Now, since Violetta started, my sandwich is ready much faster. I now consider a trip to Ike's a quick 10-minute break from my busy workday. She always keeps you informed about the wait time when you order and has consistently surprised me by stating only seven minutes, and even five recently. Overall, there has been a significant enhancement in customer experience over the past year. The staff is doing an excellent job catering to customers. In the past, it felt like you were doing them a favor by visiting, which was a real turn-off. Now, it's a much more enjoyable experience."

"I would say this place doesn't belong in the Heights. It's far below even a Jimmy John's at its best. The restaurant as a whole is a chaotic mix of tacky colors, and it was dirty and dusty from top to bottom. The staff seemed more focused on their cell phones than on serving customers, even while I was trying to place my order. The first major disappointment came when I inquired about using my Ike's loyalty points as a first-time customer, only to be told that the system was down and it wasn't possible. The employee was too preoccupied with his phone to assist properly."

"I've been eating at this Ike's location for about 4-5 years now either ordering through delivery services, their app, or picking it up in store. I've had a few minor problems here before but nothing tops yesterdays issue. My boyfriend and I placed an order through DoorDash at around 6:00 pm; 2 sandwiches, 2 chips, and onion rings. When it arrived I realized a whole sandwich was missing from my order. Now I know I could have refunded my money through DoorDash but I actually wanted the sandwich and Ike's isn't out of the way from my house. I explained that I placed an order through DoorDash and they forgot a sandwich. The first guy at the register was understanding just not sure how it happened. He told me he would remake my whole order! I was thrilled... but then he whispers something to another woman working on the food. I'm not sure of her name but she's a heavy set woman. She gave me unnecessary attitude, acted like i was lying, made it seem like I absolutely ruined their entire night, and told me she would only make the sandwich THEY FORGOT... Now I've been sitting with this food for over an hour, onion rings were soggy as hell so was the other sandwich! I was at least thankful they made my Sandwich but as I opened the bag to check in the car they took my chips out of my bag when they repacked everything...THAT I PAID FOR! Safe to say you guys just lost a customer and I'm never recommending this place to anyone ever again."

"I had the worst experience. My sandwich had paper among the toppings, and I only realized it after taking a bite. I showed it to the front desk guy with golden hair and a black hat. Shockingly, he kept repeating that they didn't add it, even after I showed him there was paper inside. I even tore same paper from the sandwich in front of him, but he still remained in denial. The owner should pay attention to this specific arrogant and unapologetic employee. Fortunately, these lady stepped in and offered to replace it. We are students; behaving well is the least you can do. I will share the word."

"This was my son's week to pick a dinner so I gave him some places I saw on Yelp near El Segundo that had good ratings. He decided to give Little Gourmet a shot. Being a creature of habit, he went with the eggplant parmigiana dinner which he thought was good but not as good as Ricci's in Bellflower. My daughter ordered the fettuccine dinner which didn't seem to impress her much. My wife and I split a pizza with mushrooms and half sausage and half capicola. It's unusual to see capicola as a topping choice so I was rather excited by that. Unfortunately, I think it works better in sandwiches rather than baked on a pizza. It's not much different than having pepperoni but at least I tried it. I thought the sauce was very tasty but the crust was rather bland. What did impress me was a thick layer of quality mozzarella covering the pie. All of the orders were very generous portions so that was a plus.There is only street parking so my son said that was a bit inconvenient around dinner time. The service was friendly and pleasant. A dinner for 4 at a little over $50 was very reasonable. I look forward to trying some other items on their menu. Many people seem to enjoy their sandwiches so maybe we can pick up some of those next time. I'm really impressed by the fact that they've done a great job keeping prices reasonable while still offering a great value to their customers. Thanks Little Gourmet."

"We dined at Ike's tonight, and unfortunately, our experience was a bit disappointing. The girl preparing our sandwiches took 15 minutes while she chatted with her friend, leaving our sandwiches cold. To make matters worse, one of them was incorrect—beef instead of chicken. Thankfully, the guy working there quickly made us a new sandwich in just 5 minutes! He was fantastic! I hope the girl saves her socializing for her time off. We’ll definitely return, but let’s hope it’s on a day when she’s not working!"

"I recently discovered a fantastic deli called Deli Llama and it is hands down the best deli I have ever visited. I have tried almost every sandwich on the menu and each one continues to impress me. The Deli Llama has truly mastered their sandwich creations as every sandwich I try becomes a new favorite. What makes it even more exciting is that their soups change daily, so every visit offers a new and delicious experience. The staff, particularly Jason and Austin, are incredibly friendly and helpful in selecting the perfect sandwich.
