"I just left this restaurant, of which I have been a customer since it opened some time ago, now under new ownership. My experience today was horrible!!! And it all happened because my father left part of the bandeja paisa to take home and asked the waiter for chimichurri to spread on his meat later at home. The Chimichurri at this place is served in mini plastic containers of less than 1/4 ounce. The waiter returned to tell us that the chef had sent word that the chimichurri was exclusive to the restaurant, and therefore they could not give it to us. My father, upon hearing this, told the waiter that it was the last time he would come here, to which the waiter, a young paisa, asked him: "For a chimichurri?" My father replied, "No! For the service." In my almost 30 years of frequenting restaurants weekly, none had ever responded to me like this, and I have been to restaurants of high caliber in my country, such as La Vitrola in Cartagena, a restaurant frequented by former President Juan Manuel Santos. Even yesterday we were at Noches de Colombiano in New Jersey, and the service as always was top-notch. How a restaurant employee can harm the owner. I felt the need to write this because my family also has a restaurant in Colombia, and owners should know why customers suddenly stop coming. At least we will not return or continue to recommend it. Such insignificant things to a chef or waiter, tarnish the image of a restaurant."
