"Most of us all know about what’s good and what’s not out there, but for some it’s a jungle out there. So, after giving Ca Dao several visits for some of the most asked on the menu meals, we have a verdict after tasting the same dishes at other local vietnamese restaurants on the very same day of the week, which is tuesdays. On the popular dish called “Pho” we give it a 5/10 for its poor noodle texture (the noodle easily breaks away as if it’s been sitting around for far too long) and “over the top” MSG use in the broth as we drank plenty of water afterwards because as you know MSG will make you very thirsty among other things! Unfortunately, the broth also felt a bit too greasy for our taste. You can tell when the soup is prepared properly right on the surface of the bowl. However, we could tell that the broth from cooking the beef meat was not properly filtered thus you could smell the strong odor of the beef like you would smell from an uncleaned or dated fish. We also tried some appetizers along with some Bun Thit Nuong, which is an assortment of rice noodles mixed with grilled minced pork and some shrimps in it. Again, the meat felt greasy and unrefined to taste (more fat over actual meat). As a result, we politely asked the management about improving our findings, but they ignored us. We have since dined at other locations instead. We hope this helps you because healthy choices matter to you and your wallet."
