"For many Vietnamese families who grew up in the Gwinnett area, this restaurant, along with Canton House, has become a go-to spot for large gatherings. My family and friends have been coming here for years, as it offers some of the most authentic southern Vietnamese cuisine you can find outside of Vietnam. The atmosphere is generally welcoming, and the staff is attentive, but I can understand how it might be a bit overwhelming for someone who isn’t Vietnamese or unfamiliar with the cuisine to navigate the menu. I've labeled all the dishes below to help, but in general, the dish descriptions are fairly informative, and there's a wide variety to choose from. If you're looking to try southern Vietnamese cuisine, I highly recommend this place. It has definitely stood the test of time and remains a favorite for my family gatherings."

"I came here last minute hoping to score some good Chinese food. I should?ve went home and made my own. The orange chicken wasn?t orange and didn?t taste like orange chicken, the spring roll and Rangoon was crispy like it was cooked days earlier, and the hot& sour soup tasted off and had a gravy like texture I never seen before! Literally the worst Chinese food ever and I rarelyindulge so this was such a disappointment. Please learn how to cook and properly present food"

"My family and I were very grateful for Jhong and his staff members Christian and Linda this weekend on our visit to 1618 Asian Fusion. Each member was very knowledge on every plate we asked about, and made great recommendations when we were not able to decide what to order The restaurant is located in a modernized quaint plaza with parking in the rear. We decided to start with the calamari, eggrolls, grilled octopus a crispy redfish. That redfish was the best fried fish I've had in my life. I have no clue how they got that crust on that fish! The crust had hints of pork on it, it was literally mind blowing. The calamari and 1618 eggrolls were fried to perfection crispy not drowning in grease. The char on the grilled octopus was perfect, and the flavor was to die for. The matcha salad was so refreshing and a great way to cleanse our pallets before our entrees were delivered. My wife ordered the fried rice, which was the best fried rice I've tasted in a while! I loved the kernels of corn in the rice. My son went with the pho with ribs after it was recommended by the staff. My son's mind was blown when he got a load of the beef ribs, and said he picked up hints of apple and cinnamon from the pho's broth. He absolutely loved it. I went with the garlic shrimp which knocked my socks off. The batter was out of this world! We ended our meals with the tallest slice of cheesecake I've ever had. Christian put on a show as he prepped the flaming brandy! The entire visit was quite an experience! This may have been our first visit, but it surely won't be our last! Thank you 1618 for the amazing lunch, we haven't stopped raving about you to all our friends and family."

"Legit food, good quality, delicious Fish Pho, has ginger pieces, crunchy garlic, made with celery and clear BUT flavorful broth my new go to.Healthy and good for sensitive stomachs. "I ordered 2 drinks even tipped 25 percent on them I walked outside tasted my drink came back asked them if I can exchange ONE drink cus it was nothing like the description and they said no there no exchange on to go I don’t know how you consider a drink automatically too go?? But they would only give me half off on a new drink and then took my old drink back even paying for the new drink makes no sense. The guy was friendly at first seem like he was gonna exchange then the lady said it was against the policy makes no sense. The amount I paid on the tip could’ve bought me the new drink. It’s dad figure it could’ve been replace to make the customer happy but apparently not and seemed like a problem to them.Update they can respond to my review but I cannot respond to theres IN FACT I DID NOT DRINK THE HALF THE DRINK GET YOUR facts straight whoever running your google response team. "This restaurant is fantastic, offering outdoor seating and takeout options. I was pleased to find plenty of vegetarian dishes on the menu. I enjoyed the Hot Sour Soup with Vegetables, which can also be made with shrimp, salmon, or chicken. The Vietnamese Vegetarian Fresh Rolls, made with rice paper, vermicelli, tofu, lettuce, and mint, were delicious, especially when dipped in the sweet peanut sauce. For my main course, I had the Sautéed Tofu with Chinese Black Mushrooms, and it can also be customized with broccoli, snow peas, or coconut curry. I highly recommend this place! Just keep in mind that they close for the winter, from the end of November until April."

"First time here since residing in TN for over 10 years. Not sure how long it has been around. Noticed it while going to Costco. The flavor of the broth is excellent. The meat , I think Flank, not round steak, well both cuts were good. But the flank cut was very tender and soft and delicious. Will definitely come back because it is fast n less crowded. The bowls is only one size, and a little too small to my liking. The pho challenge. Eat 4 bowls in one hour, win ur prize of 100$ n a picture. U lose, pay $75. N still get a picture on the wall!"

"I had an extremely disappointing experience at this restaurant, and the staff were quite rude. There was a complete lack of customer support. I truly hope the SM Health Department takes action due to hygiene concerns. Customers deserve better treatment than what we received here."
