"this is my man's favorite restaurant for about 15 years. When he took me there eight years ago, I fell in love, but we were destroyed in the run of time. 1. the atmosphere is beautiful; the server is not. Every time we go, they act as if we are a huge obstacle and they would rather just go away. once the server was totally mean, but in the rule the server is just rude. 2. the veggie spring rolls are soou well small, dense and crispy. make sure they want the vegetarian, although, if they say only, early roll they bring pork. 3. they served a delicious drink called black opium, but after it once and returned, they said they no longer serve mixed drinks only beer. bah! 4. The lemongrass tofu is perfect! that fell in love with the restaurant. the curry tofu is also good. 5. Despite good eating, we stopped visiting if possible. it is now our second election in richmond instead of our first. they seem so strongly focused on beer that if they don't drink beer, they act as if they were a huge annoying, and they just want to get rid of them asap. oh, and intentionally the sweetness bowl: my man has snapped out for some on the way, and his hand came up with some uncracked, wet (as in someone's mouth bonbons already. visit the lemongrass tofu, but that's it. there are probably better Vietnamese restaurants in the opposite, but we have not tried because we are no longer living in the opposite."

"The food is very tasty, no complaints in that department. I ordered take out and there is a .50 take out charge? I came in and went to the bar to order, it wasn’t welcoming at all. Finally, after sitting there waiting for a while the waitress came and act like she wanted to have an attitude but she softened up a little bit once I was pleasant with her. She took my order, slapped the bill in front of me and walked off. As I was sitting waiting for my food a waiter walks up and asked if that was my bill, as if he wanted me to pay right away. Once he noticed I wasn’t paying he went to check on my food and came out with the food. I paid and was due some change. He have me my change but was short .25 and walked off. I called him back over and told him that I was owed .25. He had the audacity to tell me they don’t have any change. I said you don’t short the customer without asking, where is my .25? He stated, “sorry we don’t have any change” I told him that wasn’t my problem and I wanted my quarter. He was irritated and went searching in his pockets. He finally came back with my change and told me that a customer had to give him the quarter to give to me like I was in the wrong. Imagine if every customer lets them get away with keeping the pocket change how much money they are making on shorting customers alone. That alone was a big turn off for me which will make not want to return. There’s a .50 cent take out charge and they want to keep your change? Doesn’t seem fair to me and it won’t happen with my coins."

"A Dong 515) 284-5632 1511 High St Des Moines, IA 50309 It was someone at the Ritual Cafe who recommended A Dong as they had just shut down the kitchen. Sometimes timing is everything when you fly airplanes around the country and I missed the cutoff by 10 minutes. This meal was to be eaten on the trip home, probably somewhere over Ohio and one of the concerns, since we don't have a tray table, is how messy are we going to get in the cockpit. Well, I ordered the spring rolls and another dish with a sauce and rice. I had them mix the rice in the container with the sauce and I must say that the gentleman waiting on me was incredibly meticulous and taped down the lids of every spill-able item. And it worked like a charm. The spring rolls, although perhaps a tad thicker on the dough than I'd had before was nicely chewy and the inside was crisp and delicious with a nice mix of ingredients. I can't tell you what I ordered because I sort of mixed and matched off the menu to create a dish which had the ingredients and sauce that I wanted and this certainly gets a few extra points when I can literally prepare my own dish. It was delicious and I did something I rarely do in the airplane...I taped the lid back on and took the leftovers home. Big Big Suggestion. Get a menu online.
