"We visited this place just on a whim, I did a quick google search for food in Blacksburg. I saw there was 5 stars for the first 20-30 reviews and saw pictures of the food. So here we are! As we walked in we were greeted by a very nice gentleman who went to go make sure my party of 4 had room. We were then seated by the owner Dan who is absolutely a very nice and warm person who has a very personable yet formal tone to his voice. It is quiet even in a full room of people where I can hear my friends talk without needing to talk loud to each other. The atmosphere is very chic and homey, worthy of its name of a tavern. True to its roots. And the music they are playing just matches the atmosphere Now the most important review of all¦. The food¦ its is ridiculously delicious. Every last bite was wonderful. Me and my wife had the gobbler and even with such simple ingredients you can tell each thing has care. One guest had the hungry hokie and the other had chili. This place deserves a 10/10 all the way If youre looking for the epitome of southern Virginia charm with everything a good ol blue ridge mountain boy loves come here! Its worth it!"

"I am a wheelchair user and Marion's is not set up for that. It is charming, the food is great, and service even better! It was difficult for me to fully enjoy the atmosphere as there was not room to get to the display and gift store area. I imagine the ambulatory guests would really enjoy all of that! Parking: We were unable to find any handicap parking. Wheelchair accessibility: I was able to get through the door but had difficulty getting to an available booth. I had to transfer to the booth (I usually stay in my chair) and my husband folded up my wheelchair and stowed it around the corner."

"We had such an enjoyable time visiting with the employees and I bought some beautiful earrings from them. The grilled ham and cheese with a cup of chili was delicious. I highly recommend getting to this unique little shop."
