"We used one of the apps to buy dinner from this restaurant. They labeled their one dish as vegan and we ordered, along with other vegan items. The dish was a collection of deep fried items, about 20% of which were cheese. Without being able to see the inside, due to the deep frying, we accidentally consumed one of the cheese pieces. We were seeking vegan food partially due to major dairy issues. When we called the restaurant, the employee who answered couldn’t even identify the dish, despite us reading the name off of their own menu. This employee had no idea what the ingredients were, but offered us the phone number of the owner. We called the owner who said that yes, they put cheese in it, but only one piece. When I said it was actually many pieces, the explanation was that the restaurant was busy and that they mix things up. There was no remorse or accountability, zero respect for allergies, and no solution offered. When I said that I was going to report it to the app, the owner hung up on me."
