"Husband and I were in San Juan Capistrano for a few days and ate lunch here. Our server was friendly, the restaurant was clean and comfortable. We are picky when it comes to Mexican food, it's my favorite. We had the guacamole chips, delicious. I highly recommend the chile relleno combination plate. Everything was fresh and so tasty. Husband had a chimichanga which he said was also delicious. We will definitely be eating here again sometime."

"I only give four stars because I only stopped ordering chips and salsa and tortilla suppe. the suppe is so delicious! with huh, carrots, celery and they give them guacamole, sour cream and limette. I really enjoyed it! the chips and salsa were standard. the salsa is not hot at all. this is 100% a spin-off. there are no places and it is very small. the lady at the front was pleasant and helpful. a order of chips and salsa and a large bowl tortilla suppe ran me under $10. perfect lunch!"

"The waitress messed up my order and claimed she couldn’t correct her mistake. She returned to tell me that someone else said I had to stick with the wrong order because they don't make adjustments. The service was terrible! Additionally, she didn’t bring any napkins, and there were none on the tables. My husband also faced the same issue with his plate. We ordered tacos with a specific type of meat but received something different, and that was the mistake that couldn't be fixed. It was really disappointing!"

"We just found Cafe Cuba driving by the other night. We went in this morning for breakfast and we'll be coming back a LOT. Forget driving to Porto's!! The pastelitos de guayaba are DELICIOUS! The cafe con leche is just like in New Jersey, the croquetas are really good, even the pan con mantequilla is great! And I LOVE the ambience! Found my new favorite place in Hawthorne!!!"

"Such an amazing surprise.We were looking for quick food, not typical fast food. What an amazing surprise.On our way home to Maine after a cancelled flight from Philly, we pulled off the highway and tripped over this place.Authentic, delicious, wonderful service, clearly a family place.People were there visiting when we walked in thinking we'd get takeout.Instead we sat down and enjoyed a delicious, home cooked meal. The enchiladas were fantastic! Went perfectly with the iced cold Negra Modelo. Dietary restrictions: Gluten free? Sub corn tortillas for flour tortillas, no problem. Kid-friendliness: Clearly a family place."
