"What can I say? After reading the reviews, I was expecting to enjoy some good food. We ordered haddock and chicken, which came with tasty coleslaw, but to our disappointment, they forgot to give us tartar sauce, which we only noticed during our picnic. Without the tartar sauce, the fish, chicken, and onion rings were terrible—so bland they tasted like cardboard. The breading had a stale taste and lacked any flavor. Ugh! I won't be going back to spend fifty dollars on food that ended up being thrown away. Even the supposedly great fries were soggy and unappetizing. I’m really sorry to say this, but I hope our experience was just a one-time mistake, especially given the numerous positive reviews. Unfortunately, that wasn't our experience at all."

"Best Sandwiches I have ever had! Tastes and feels like I made them from home! Im never tired after eating here, and i always feel great! This tells me that the food is clean, fresh, and cooked to perfection. The Turkey and Roast Beef are cooked fresh daily, and the Chicken is made fresh to order everytime! They even have the best hot sauce! I've been eating here every week for the past year, ever since I discovered this hidden gem! My favorite is the Grilled Chicken Sandwich on sourdough! They are even so kind and are willing to do half sized sandwiches and any modifications to meet your satisfaction. Sometimes, I will get a half sandwich with extra chicken if i dont want too much bread, and they always hook it up! The amount of food they give is very generous and the prices are the best in Virginia, especially for the quality of food you are getting! The employees are always friendly and helpful, and they just create a wonderful atmosphere in the store with their great customer service! I highly recommend everyone trying their sandwiches! They are better than Moms"

"The banh mi’s at Grilled Chicken House are amazing! What a great find. The menu mostly focuses on fried poultry/seafood, rice, and beans, but there is a small Vietnamese banh mi section that is to die for. While the store is pretty small, a bit run down, and not in the best part of town… it’s totally worth a visit for the delicious (and affordable) banh mi. The staff is also very friendly. p.s. the banh mi’s are huge and one was sufficient for a hearty lunch."
