"First time visiting Max 's At The Opera and it was an underwhelming experience to say the least. We were attracted to the restaurant because of the large menu, outdoor seating deck, and live piano player. Despite standing in one of the two doorways, where a bulk of the customers and the bar is located, no one attempted to help us. After waiting for 4 minutes, being seen by staff, I had to approach the bar and ask the bartender, who can help? Should we seat ourselves? to which she replied yes, you can sit there (indicating the other side). The customer service was absolutely SUBPAR. To be honest, it was embarrassing! After walking to the other side, a hostess, who seemed disinterested, said, you can sit anywhere. After a few minutes of being seated, our server, who didn 't introduce himself and also seemed disinterested in helping, haphazardly gave us menus. No hello my name is, and I recommend. Absolutely nothing. I 'm not sure if the service is always pathetic or if there was a racial undertone to the lack of quality service we received. We ordered a Beyond Meat Burger with sweet potato fries, an order of fries, and the crab cake dinner. The fries that we ordered as an appetizer, came out with the meal. The food was okay (not bad, but, nothing to celebrate). Overall, I 'm not sure I 'll go back."

"my dame and I went to this restaurant with our 16-month baby girl for the afternoon. we sat inside, but wanted to sit outside. server finally came and allowed us to sit outside. waited for our food forever and when we arrived, we had no serviettes. all the time that the waitress would think of “Regulare” sat a few tables away that smoke cigarettes. we complained several times to the waitress to prove the sign and our baby, but they would not ask them to stop smoking. the waitress finally asked the manager to say something, but the manager said that as long as the smoking was at least 15 feet away, they did not break the law. I said so even tho they have a sign that reads no smoking and gain law prohibits smoking inside and on terraces where eating is served, they create a rule to not help pay customers. the food was boiled half and the fries were terrible cold. After we get our half-cooked cold food and have lit more cigarettes, we decided to pack our food, pay and go. if we could see and smell near our table smoke, the smokers are not 15 feet away. this restaurant has really fallen off. I had to ask another server to pay us out, our actual server was too busy to laugh with colleagues and joking. I would not recommend this restaurant."

"Don’t waste your money on the cheese dip! They give you very little cheese and on top of that they water it down. Cheese came out bubbly and very thin, watery. After it had set and cooled off for a good moment the cheese did not film over like normal Mexican cheese does and remained very thin. It appears they are adding water to the cheese to make it go further! This was the best location as far as the food quality and taste goes compared to the other two locations I have tried to date, which was Bedford and French Lick.. Except for the cheese dip. Highly recommend the Authentic Mexican Guacamole, this was so fresh and tasted wonderful! Price is a bit steep for the amount you get. Portion size was too small compared to price. Salsa was good and was better than most Mexican locations when it came to flavor although it was puréed into salsa juice. If you like a little bit of tomatoes tiny or bigger chunks, then you will be disappointed. You literally could almost drink it. I was learning on giving them a 3 star review as the food was better than their other locations but I’m not because when I asked what they were doing to the cheese they acted like that was the way it was supposed to be. One of the reasons you go to Mexican Restaurants is for good quality cheese. Staff were friendly and service was good."
