"Food is great and always tastes amazing. But the reason I'm not rating it higher is due to the staff. No one has ever been at the hostess stand when we enter and every time we've had to seat ourselves. We usually just go to the bar at this point since someone is usually working it. Today was the first time we were ever given a drink menu which had prices listed on it. Very nice since it's annoying to figure out beer prices or specials without annoying the bartender, who always acts annoyed. Today was a different staff completely so maybe they got rid or mixed things up. Other downside was a large group of wait staff hanging around the bar area, talking very loudly and cursing. Maybe they just got off work? But come on guys, watch the language. You represent the restaurant, on the clock and off. Go for the food, maybe get take out instead?"

"Dining on the patio with a view of the Babcock lake is lovely!In general, this was a very disappointing dining experience. Had I not eaten here 7 times, based on today’s service and food, I would not come back. The waitress was a bit rushed and short. No silverware until asked, and the napkins were C-fold towels (for drying hands), tacky. It took 30-45 minutes to get our food, and when the pasta dishes arrived, they looked like they had been dished up 20 minutes prior, the noodles were dried out on top and there was not any sauce on them. We asked for more sauce, but had to ask twice and we were more than halfway done eating by the time the sauce arrived. The Brussel sprouts as a STARTER, had to be ordered twice and didn’t arrive until we were almost done eating. The Crispy Brussel Sprouts were mediocre. The the Caesar salad with blackened Mai Mai was very good.The chicken piccata was disappointing and the chicken was so tuff, my mom had to ask for a steak knife. As mentioned earlier, the piccata was missing the lemon sauce. The piccata was my Mom’s favorite dish, she has enjoyed it at least 5 times before.Basically, a disappointing Sunday dinner."

"The restaurant I visited is located on University Drive. It's a small place, and a line starts forming early at 10:45 AM. There are only a couple of tables inside (2-3) and a picnic table outside, which can get quite hot in the summer. Despite the limited parking, the line for the BBQ is impressive! If you don't arrive early, you might miss out on their famous bratwurst, as they often sell out. They also offer other options like sausage, turkey, and smoked chicken. While the menu is simple, it's satisfying. As a Texan myself, I suspect the owner is from Texas too; it's clear they grew up on Texas BBQ. I struggled to find a good BBQ place here in Phoenix until I discovered Lil Miss BBQ. Just a few things to keep in mind: they’re closed on Mondays and in the evenings on weekends. I believe there’s an opportunity for them to open another location in the city, as the university crowd mainly visits during lunch. Be prepared to hunt for parking, stand in line, and possibly take your food to go due to the limited seating. But I promise you, you won't find better BBQ anywhere else!"
