"We were super late for our reservation but were seated promptly upon arrival. Service was great and the staff was very friendly. The ambiance was very comfortable but still classy. Russian classical music played at a good level overhead throughout the evening The food itself wasn't great. The borscht soup I ordered didn't have much in the way of beets (if any), but did have carrots and celery in it (I think what I actually was served may have been a generic vegetable soup The French onion soup my partner got was decent but the onions were not caramelized sufficiently. We both got the Chicken Kiev, which was supposed to come with red cabbage and potatoes and mixed vegetables, based off of the menu. Instead, it came with some grilled tomato, onion, and peppers, almost like it was a tex-mex fusion dish. The chicken itself was a little underseasoned and the rice was mushy. We had pistachio cheesecake for dessert and it was tasty, but missing part of its crust. For the price, nothing either of us ate was particularly satisfying I've been here before, several years ago, and the food was definitely better then than it is now. I'd encourage the team to work on making sure that their menu is updated to reflect what is actually being served. This was a pretty disappointing meal, but I could have just shown up on an off Friday."
