"The drinks were enjoyable and the service was friendly, but unfortunately, the food fell short. The roasted beet salad tasted as if it came from a can or was merely steamed; there was nothing roasted about it. The short rib consisted of a small piece that was mostly fat, accompanied by a heap of fettuccine and roasted vegetables drenched in an overly salty sauce that seemed more like stock than anything homemade. The only highlight on the plate was the roasted vegetables, which did appear to be genuinely roasted. I really wanted to discover a new favorite restaurant, and I hope that some of the other menu items, which sound promising, live up to expectations."
